"Damn, Linden" has taken over as the thing I say to my wife all the time in response to pretty much anything she says. She is not pleased with this development.

Some critic on twitter, maybe Tim Goodman, said that they wouldn't watch season 3, but would watch a series that was nothing but Holder walking around talking to people. A joke clearly, but that would actually be a pretty good show. Joel Kinnaman should be going places.

I'm confused on some things here. So Jaime put Rosie into Ames car and Terry came and picked up that car and decided to kill the chick in it, not knowing it was Rosie, so that she could maybe run away with Ames? Also what was the conspiracy that Rosie overheard and needed to be killed for? I might have to watch the episode,

Pretty terrible move by the aunt to not fix the taillight (I think, I'm still vague on why the broken taillight is so damming). Isn't Stan a mechanic?

I obvioulsy didn't watch season 2, but I might check out 3 if there is one. I like murder mysteries, some of the characters/actors, and those first 3 or 4 episodes of season 1 I thought were great. It's probably the most excited I've been for a show after the few episodes since Lost. I really think this could have been a great show and very easily could have been at least a decent show with just minor structure/vision changes.

Jamie already had Rosie in the campaign car. While Ames and Jamie were arguing (Ames having arrived with Terry in her car), and Ames was saying that things were getting too out of control and he was done with this deal (meaning he wouldn't be able to get away from his wife), Terry got out of her car and put the campaign car in drive so that it would go into the lake.

Rosie overheard Jamie, Ames, and Chief Jackson talking about burying Indian bones in the waterfront area to submarine the mayor's project.

And the broken taillight isn't really all that damning. Linden just saw a broken taillight on Terry's car, and Ames' son remembered him being dropped off in a car with a broken taillight, so by the show's logic it HAD to be Terry.

goofyballer - thanks. I ended up watching it anyway. Overhearing parts of a conversation about a shady land deal that a random teenager has most likely never heard of is a real stretch of a motive for murder for a character who, at least in season 1, was portrayed as a decent guy. Pretty unsatisfying ending.

The sympathy for the aunt and Jaime from Linden was weird, to me. 'We got the bad guy' 'yeah, whose that?' That shouldn't have been rhetorical; 2 people killed a girl for really really weak reasons. I felt like I was supposed to view Ames as the real villain even though he was the only one of the 3 not down with killing the girl in trunk.

Watched about 15 minutes of the finale. I forgot they were still going with the 1 episode per day concept, which was especially great because there's a scene where Rosie's family moves into a new house on the last day (Day 26 I think?). I'm guessing they just introduced the moving story line a few episodes ago, which would mean they put in an offer, got financing, and closed in about 3 days.

Stan already owned the house. For some reason he hadn't told anyone.

I couldn't really follow all of it.

I think you missed the fact that Stan had already bought the house as a surpise before Rosie was killed, and that Mitch discoverd all their money was gone, but didn't know that it was because it went on the down payment. And because nobody talks to anybody in this show, she didn't find out about the fate of the missing money or the house until well after she came back.

Such a promising show that I got sucked into, thankfully, on Netflix and Amazon prime beginning about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure the writers could have ****ed up this show worse if they tried like it was Springtime for Hitler.

I'd watch a show like this if it was 1 season 1 murder and Holder was the lead detective.

I just watched this whole thing in 2 days. My immediate thoughts;

-Rosie needed to have more screen time. She was the hottest girl on the show

-Interesting ending, the way they made it all seem like a bunch of super run bad...Until you realize that Jamie, a political figure, chose not to talk to Rosie on the 10th floor and somehow ended up busting her head. You'd think he would have chosen to you know, talk first, maybe offer a deal to keep quiet. Too realistic I guess

-For awhile I was slightly impressed at how they consistently kept me off balance in my guesses at the killer. However after seeing how they tied the whole thing up together, the character portraits of the guilty parties seem extremely poor in design, and much of Jamie/Terry's acting should clearly be modified. The whole not knowing who the killer is, pretty horrendous in hindsight.

I'm not impressed, but I'm not upset either. I think the 2-3 season length is something more shows should aim for, and there are a lot of things that were done well for a show this short. In the end it just wasn't a complete effort, and the final plot twist was too deliberate in trying to keep you guessing
