Yeah, in general I wouldn't be either, but the scenes with him screaming about where Johnny is to his people would seem silly. He doesn't need to sell it to them. Maybe Johnny doing it on his own wouldn't seem crazy.

I thought Johnny played like he was turning on Boyd once before, but it turned out he wasn't really gonna double-cross him. Even though it woulda made perfect sense for him to do so back then and now due to him being passed up like he said. He knows how dangerous it is to go against Boyd. I suspect he didn't go through with it the first time because the other guy wasn't going to be able to kill Boyd, and he's willing to go through with it this time because Duffy has the power to take out Boyd. With that said, this could easily be a play by Boyd trying to eliminate Duffy in case Duffy doesn't want to join up with him.

My issue on the whole Johnny/Duffy/Boyd angle is if this is Boyd's plan all along to eliminate Duffy what is his plan afterward's when the Dixie Mafia come's after Boyd's crew. He knows there has to be consequences, so how does he shift Duffy's death away from him and on somebody else? I don't think he's thought that far ahead yet.

Also too for the main story arc it makes no sense for the writers to kill off Boyd as he's Raylan's arch-enemy. That's like Riddler killing the Joker before Batman can get to him.

If I had to guess Johnny gets played in the end and gets killed...still weighing my options if it will be Boyd or Duffy...a scene where Boyd kills Johnny would be epic to watch...Eva killing Johnny would be a must watch but probably not as epic.

Johnny tried to sell out Boyd at the end of last year by tipping off Limehouse about Devil's murder, but Arlo took the fall. I believe him in what he said to Duffy, that he's been nursing a grudge ever since Boyd's shenanigans got him gut-shot.

Not that I don't trust it but I think Boyd is at the point right now in the season where he's weighing all the angles/possibilities w/Duffy...figuring out the right method to get to his end game with least amount of blowback...a lot of it depends on the Johnny angle and how it plays out once we know what his true intentions are?

Another good episode, just an enjoyable hour of TV. Raylans face when he got shot was hillarious.

So I rewatched the series once I found out season 4 had started... and I realized how good this show really is. I mean I enjoyed it watching the first time around, but the second viewing made me really appreciate how awesome the characters are in this show.

I like the breakneck pace of the season so far, but the writing in this episode seemed somewhat lazy to me.

Shooting someone with a beanbag out of a shotgun from a few feet away is going to do a ****load of damage. They needed a way the bartender could get the drop on Raylan and her boyfriend, but I wish they had given it some more thought.
