lol nice multitabling skillz from Will Arnett.

Not a terribly great show but always good for a couple of laugh out loud moments.

I mean, David Cross is American; I don't think he's going to make a show that's just "Americans are dumb LOL", even if it's for BBC.
Cross loves hating on Americans for being dumb hicks. Not sure where you get that, it's a huge part of his standup act. He makes fun of mainstream America all the time.

come on, clearly this show has nothing to do with 'lol-americans-are-dumb-and-dont-know-anything-about-europe'. don't know how anyone gets that from the show.
He's just an idiot, and you could make the exact same show if Todd was from the UK, moving to the US or something.

Ive seen his standup and agree he makes fun of americans quite a bit, but like someone said, just the first scene proves that he's just a moron.

It's not conclusive of course. There are only 2 American characters, and both are pretty awful. I'd imagine that adds extra fuel to the fire that he is American. They could have used a British actor for Todd if it didn't add something that he is American (or they just really like Cross). Arnett is also particularly ignorant and full of himself and being an American, expecting it to just instantly get him laid when he reaches England.

You've got to realize how much the Brits eat up the dumb pompous American stereotype. Every Brit on the show is smart, and every American is a ****** and has no idea. Is that really a coincidence?

what do you mean, they - cross helped develop the series and i believe he co-wrote every episode. yes, part of the show is about how todd's ignorance of british customs leaves him looking stupid.

why do you know that on every british show, americans are ******ed? why are you watching british television that much that you know that?

I thought the commercial shoot was a strong scene, because too many of the scenes with Dave and Alice present Todd as the only boorish character on the show. Arnett and Steve Davis do a good job of balancing out Todd's broadness and stupidity.

It's not that every show that they are ******ed. It's that having Americans being dumb makes things popular in Europe. It's not like they are wrong about that. Brits just tend to be very elitist about it. The show is fairly funny, which is why I watch it. Not great, but good enough.

Another solid episode last night. Some really good lines and some interesting development. Looks like the finale is next week so that'll be fun.

"A brown one and a yellow one... it's like ****ing a bag of M&Ms"

Pretty excited to see what happens if and when Todd's (supposedly dead and from Leeds) father shows up to try to help him out.

Great episode. Though the last scene was tough to watch at times. I think this episode does a lot to dissuade the idea that the show is satirizing Americans. Unless Cross thinks Americans are even worse than his standup lends us to believe. Todd is actively stealing from charity ffs.

Surprised how it ended, thought it would have gotten a lot closer to the trial. I guess they are setting it up for a possible 2nd season.

I guess that makes sense since it ended with 9 days before the trial.

Some very cringe-worthy moments in the finale, but overall I enjoyed the season.

Enjoyed the first few episodes, but now Cross's character is just becoming too ridiculous.

I did get a laugh out of Cross speaking while pretending to be deaf and just sign language.

What was with Dave conning into getting into some kind of ambassador's party or whatever? Are we just going to keep getting glimpses into this guy's life as a con man?

Watch it again. The chauffeur refers to Dave as "Mr. Malford", the same name Brent Wilts gives Spike Jonze's character as the man who hired him to run Global National.
