It's nitty but I guess when you are a nit yourself you really can't see that. If I'm in that spot there's no way I'm not risking the max. that still guarantees the win. It's a freeroll. How many times has FJ been "Inner Mongolian Opera?" Nice, stupid hypothetical. It was about as stupid as Tom Watson.
Wow. Thought you sorta had to understand Jeopardy and trivia in order to post here, but perhaps not.
The fact is you haven't risked anywhere near $2600 on a single question of trivia (or probably any single wager on anything), so you have zero clue how to go about that from a real world point of view. He could have felt zero confidence in the category and made a small wager.
In regards to what you called my "stupid hypothetical", it's quite possible a contestant could know more about that topic than literature. The category means almost everything in a situation like this.
And then you state "it's a freeroll". No it is not, it's real money in this situation. What you already have means nothing. All that matters is how much you feel like wagering on one solitary question about a certain topic, assuming of course you don't risk the lock. That's it. It's no different than the idiots on Millionaire who state that they came here with nothing so they're going to risk 6 figures cash on a hunch. Morons. LOL at FJ being a freeroll.
I'd really love to see you wager $10k on a single trivia question on a topic you know nothing about. Brilliant.
Leave the trivia to the pros.
