I also think 8pm eastern is good.

Spoiler:
At least the wagering was good today. I like that she rolled the dice for a change and went for the true DD (and above $1,000 this time!). Also, props to the dentist for shoving on the later DD since he knew that was his only chance at getting back in.

Spoiler:
She left a lot of EV on the table (assuming she is >50% on FJ???) The $4,000 DD was nice to see. >$10K by the interview break was impressive

Isn't the standard for OOTV after the program is over in EST anyway? Majority of EST watches at 7:30 (pretty sure, at least) so anything before 8 should be considered a spoiler.

Only question left is she going to be alone in FJ

Clearly she knows an absolute ton, but then sometimes she'll be stumped by something that I feel is pretty obvious.

Like wtf, there were so many triple stumpers in DJ today. Nobody knows the capital of Vietnam?? Vitamin K? The dentist should have known that one. Van Allen belts?

Was thrilled when she went TDD early on today.

I think I'm going to have to disagree with you there.

I for one will post what I feel about the episode whenever I so choose.

On jboard, there is a separate thread for each game. Some people see the episode before I do, therefore I do not open that thread until I have seen it for myself. Novel concept, isn't it?

Of course the rebuttal will be that this is an all-encompassing thread so it's more difficult. Well, most people here have a clue so I'm sure each individual can figure out what works best for them.

Seriously this. It seems lately that if Julia doesn't know it, nobody does.

There seem to be a just a couple of people that get it in the early afternoon. It would be nice if the thread wasn't essentially locked out for ~5 hours for the rest of us. Spoiler tags are a nice courtesy and greatly appreciated.

I guess we can disagree, but the post yesterday that started all this was made at 5e. IMO, that's not unreasonable and people should know by that time that many others have seen it. The post today was at 712e.

Heck, if I still had it at 11am c I could have tons of fun with you guys!

Eh I don't fault people for not betting a lot in runaways. The risk averse side of me gets it. That's real money at that point, and I know that in a hypothetical IRL bet I would never bet that big even if I thought I was a 60% favorite. Which incidentally is why I never made huge money at poker.

Bottom line, someone itt seems to be taking some joy in being first to post, usually in a low content form. Its a new development and its noticeably different than before.

Guarantee that when Julia does lose, it will be posted early and it won't be in spoiler tags.

The general posters itt are simply asking for some courtesy spoiler tags which are greatly appreciated. Its certainly not life or death. Half the time I DVR J! and either spoiler myself by reading the thread (run of the mill episode) or avoid the thread (like the decades tourney). Julia's run has reached the point where I prefer to not know prior to watching.

To each their own.

Julia obv isn't as flashy of a player as Arthur/Roger, but she is happy to get her $22k per day.

She's like the 1/2 grinder of Jeopardy. Don't wanna risk more than 10 buyins on a single question!

Again, would like to see her face one challenger who knows how to play strategically. Liked both her DD wagers today. Would have liked to see her go for $40k on FJ at this point when she seems a little looser.

And, j555, just so you don't keep repeating inaccurate information every day, Arthur won 11 games.

simple solution to the problem of people who want to post spoilers and just not put them in tags is to just put them on ignore. It doesn't seem like the person or people don't really give a crap if they spoil results or what not for the rest of the thread.

Is Julia the best female player of all time?

I'm enjoying her run it's nice that we have her going strong for the entertainment value after the Battle of the Decades games.

i dunno how many times i can say this, but its not even just that he posts spoilers, its that his post has zero content.

we don't need posts that read: "julia won in a runaway".

wtf purpose does a post like that serve?

it doesn't offer any interesting information and doesn't promote any kindv conversation.

its ****ing ******ed.

Consider the following scenario: a six-player tournament is held (say... Monday and Tuesday winners + one wildcard for a three-day cumulative final) with the following players. The tournament is played 100+ times to get a reasonable sample size.

Julia Collins
Larissa Kelly
Pam Mueller
India Cooper
Robin Carroll
Stephanie Jass

Who ya got?

ETA: I still don't consider her elite yet. David Madden did the same thing (plus some) and you don't hear his name thrown around for GOAT too often.

It's doubtful any of us will know Julia's true talent until the ToC. The reason Dave Madden doesn't get a ton of respect is because he lost in the semis of his ToC.

I am having trouble figuring out if Julia Collins is cute or not. Help? I think she is certainly cute but hard to say beyond that.
