political messaging is blunt, silly, and crude(see what I did there)
4 of the 5 female characters are absurd/lame

most female characters in sheridian verse r terribad besides the daugther in 1883 and the stripper in mayor of kingstown(although she becomes terribad at some point)

For all the posters that think bewbs makes a better show, then just watch Ballers. There's also a lot of Vegas in one season.

I recall it as ok to good for 25 minutes, once a week. As a binge show? Probably not. Never as good as the premise. Always held back from real nastiness because it needed famous people to guest.

Lol, Entourage also on my watch list. I quit somewhere in the middle, but it's been so long the entire series will be new to me.

the people are dumb, their problems are simple, every barrier they face is due to their own incompetence - there's zero character growth or development

but it's infectiously fun to watch with beautiful women in every scene





ballers tried to capture that magic and while it was entertaining enough to for me to watch through, it fell off incredibly hard in later seasons and just got super cringe and i got angry at myself for watching, i don't even recall how it ended because it was just more having it on in the background seething at how absurd everything was getting and how they just wanted everything to be such absurdly high stakes etc that i just put it on and ignored it

Complete agree Entourage is 100x Ballers despite Ballers just trying to repeat Entourage's exact formula. And Entourage is about as far out on the spectrum of mindless drivel that I am willing to watch.

Succession > Banshee obv. Never seen an episode of Banshee. Based on Lounge movies thread I have distinctly opposite tastes of mrbaseball in any sort of media.
