The news is a couple weeks old, but Hulu's big budget take on The Devil in the White City is going to cast Keanu Reeves as a lead in the miniseries. Way to lower everyone's expectations by 90%.

Wait, wasn't DiCaprio supposed to do it?

I think he is just going to be on the producer or director side. Details aren't out yet.

My mom told me to read that book like a decade ago. Never did. Interested in the show though.

Peacemaker is way too woke for me. A woman tells a man he has bad breath so his buddy comes from across the other side of the bar to stick up for him and fight this woman, wtf?!? Then this large man gets physically manhandled by a small woman with seemingly no superpowers. Fight sequences were more pitiful than that bad Hawkeye show.

Yes, it's good. Starts a little slow but gets good toward the end of season 1 IIRC.

That Cersei Lannister vs Yellowstone character for most badass women is making it difficult to not watch it. Actually looking quite forward to it

I spent much of the past month grinding through various highly rated TV shows and Yellowstone was by far the easiest for me to get all the way through (4 seasons). The only point I felt like I needed to take a break from watching multiple episodes everyday was after like the first 2 or 3 episodes of season 3. However, I'm glad I got back on the horse because season 3 was great.

If I were to compare Yellowstone to another show, I'd say it's like a modern take on the show Dallas combined with elements of the Sopranos.

Yellowstone S1-S3 are good. I didn't care for S4.

Also, Vigilante totally steals the show. It is a DC thing, but at the same time relatively standalone so it doesn't really require familiarity with the universe. However, The Suicide Squad (2021) should be watched beforehand as we are introduced to the titular character there.

You could probably just watch the pitch meeting and get by instead of watching the entire movie.

I'm also really liking the show.

It's terribly woke but I still enjoy it also.

The dialogue on this show was so elite. So many meta jokes that I had missed previously, and this was my ~5th rewatch.

The show also kickstarted so many careers and had quite a list of notable guest stars: Chris Pratt, Max Greenfield, Paris Hilton, Shailene Woodley, Olivia Wilde, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Morena Baccarin, Amber Heard, George Lucas, T.I., Colin Hanks... the list goes on.

Yes, this was an unironic post about the greatness of The O.C.

Not so sure about 4 over 2. I thought season 1 and 2 were elite and really didn't get the love it deserved. Season 2 was peak Olivia Wilde

Maybe it's an HBO thing. "And Just Like That..." is magnitudes worse. At least Peacemaker is fun.

Didn't watch the original so I am definitely not watching the reboot of that. Euphoria is terribly woke but great.

It's 100% HBO. HBO Max is the most woke of all the streaming services and I don't think there is a close 2nd. It's been quite disappointing. Westworld was once my favorite show on TV but I had to quit it like 15 or 20 minutes into the start of Season 3. Watchman was my most anticipated show of recent times but then I saw the direction they were taking it in the previews and I am no longer one bit interested in seeing it.

LoL @ the way HBO went with the Sopranos movie "The Many Saints of Newark." I didn't dislike this movie as much as most, but clearly it was the wokeness completely unrelated to the Sopranos that really ruined the movie.

And Colin Farrell is absolutely amazing in this, not sure if this is eligible for an Emmy award but if so he surely deserves to be nominated.

Forgot that Macgruber TV series came out Dec because I don't watch real tv or log into Peacock ever. Going to ignore all reviews, get in the right state of mind(unless the commercials are too frequent and annoying), and laugh at some goofy ****.

Streaming free on Peacock.
