Gonna watch both! I hadn’t even heard of the Garrett case.

I guess there were 3 2ep docs HBO did. How is the 3rd one? “Behind Closed Doors”?

Anyone watching Jett? I binged the first six or seven episodes and found it entertaining. Definitely some hot women in it too and plenty of nudez.

I just got Netflix. What are some Netflix shows to watch? Maybe some comedy or horror series? Any good movies?

I recently noticed that HBO On Demand (and presumably other HBO options) made From the Earth to the Moon available.

For whatever reason, this hadn't ever before been available for streaming.

The quality of the show is on the level of The Right Stuff and Apollo 13.

Ya I think it was the 50 year anniversery of the moon landing. I marathoned the entire thing right away since I hadn't seen it since I was a teenager.

The Loudest Voice on Showtime is really good. I binged the 6 episodes today. Next week is the finale. Russell Crowe is Roger Ailes.

Been reading lots of rave reviews about Euphoria. Watched the whole thing and that was mostly terrible. What are people liking about this show? The two leads are fantastic but the writing is terribad, it's nauseating to watch because it's seemingly unable to stay in one place for more than 10 seconds and the camera keeps flying all over the place, all the characters are super one-dimensional and the entire show is basically just a collection of cliché after cliché where everything's been amped up for maximum shock value. All the dialogue could be written by a 10-year old. And wtf was that ending?

I definitely get where you're coming from and then pile on the sexualization of teens and I stopped watching if for a bit, but then my gf got me back into it. It helps the main cast is all 20+ cuz that was messing with me and my girl for a bit lol.

At the same time there is real art in how they present this show show and it's super entertaining. I think they went overboard with the villian of the show tho, just too much.

bojack horseman is perhaps my fav show of all time.

give it a few episodes to find itself before u make any judgements it just gets better and better.

I love the wire deadwood sopranos justified breaking bad etc but there is something about bojack that completely captured my heart.

maybe cuz I love animals so much or maybe cuz it's absolutely perfect.

if you like comedy and horror def check out santa clarita diet it's great fun.

Watched the two seasons of Amazon's The Patriot. Complicated story told with complex techniques featuring a hang dog hero (or anti-hero) who actually sings explanations of what is going on, with life flashbacks for even some minor characters, and funny made up engineering jargon. Its spy versus spy , prevention of nuclear weapons, a dark comedy, deep psychological character story, many intertwining quirky characters, moral dilemmas, clever dialogue, and quite unpredictable. Enjoyed it

Lately found the British Hit or Miss series(amazon prime $) which features a pre-op transsexual hit woman . The whole premise and plot events don't make much sense but its interesting to see actress Chloe Sevigny try to play this impossible character. Its explicit and not for everybody for sure.

Well the singing gets a bit tedious and Tom Tavner spends a lot of time as a talking head and John, the lead, stays melancholy which makes a tough watch. The Leslie Claret character and the plot twists and turns in Paris made season 2 worthwhile for me. I needed to see how they ended it.
