Yes but Tywin still has the ability to send him to bed like a child..

Overall I enjoyed the episode mostly for the reactions the charcters had to what happened last episode. Jaime's arrival in Kings Landing being more teased than anything else was annoying. I'd rather not see him at all this episode if the entire scene was gonna be "Yo Cersei Im not dead" At least setup some of the I would assume future drama between the new Jaime's attitude and perhaps Brienne.
Yeah that Jamie/Cersei reunion was aids.

tryion "you just put the most powerful man in the world to bed without his supper" was great

arya/hound dialog sounds like it's from a buddy cop movie

I disagree. That would've been a better season wrap scene than Danys awful dragged out crap

"Valar Morghulis" though!

Yeah the Stannis deciding to go North would have been a much better ending. Some thunder and a stirring speech before they set out or something. *shrug*

The episode wasn't bad, but it wasn't last week, that's for sure.

Anyone else get the Lord of the Rings feel with Bran's little band setting off north like they're going to Mordor?

bastard last names are where they're from. north = snow. hence jon snow, ramsay snow. that's why everyone knows jon snow is a bastard right when they find out his name.

A little underwhelmed by the finale, but I think most of that was due to the final scene. Really can't overstate how anti-climactic that was. That storyline was resolved last week. Like there was any chance the slaves were gonna be all "nah, we're cool, slavery ain't all that bad."

Arya Stark. WOW.

LoL/Mel looking super weak right now.

Really wanted more KL stuff, esp Jaime.

Shae is a ****ing moron. Varys was mega convincing.

LET'S GO GREYJOY SISTER

I got more of a final fantasy type vibe.
06-09-2013 , 10:38 PM
I have to agree that Shae is a dumbass for not doing what is right. Once Tyrion is allowed to have a real place in his family she has to know she has no place. Now she is torturing the man who loves her, and the woman she respects as a handmaiden.

what a waste of an episode

I dunno if the books are like this as well (don't care to know either), but the show just has not set up the wight walker story well enough. I just don't perceive them as the huge threat they are made out to be. Jojen can say how powerless everyone is to stop them and Stannis's can drop what he's doing to go fight them, but when they only get 5 total minutes of screen time over 3 seasons, and one of those minutes is stupid Sam killing one, I just haven't been convinced. They were marching on the wall at the end of season 2, where the **** did they go?
06-09-2013 , 10:49 PM
I don't think they were making a beeline for the wall like an army would.

How was last week not the finale. Surprised a Lannister didn't die or someone else important.

Bored by dragon girl right now. Yeah, she's hot and nice to slaves. We get it.

The Rat Cook story...obviously some kind of foreshadowing for Walder Frye..maybe he gets it early in S4.
