Things missing:
  • Arya who is wandering about somewhere with Gendry and some fat kid whose name escapes me.
  • Bran, Rickon, Hodor, Osha last seen fleeing Winterfell heading to the wall as per Maester Luwin's instruction; little do they know (a) Jon isn't there, (b) zombie army comin'.
  • Brienne is escorting Jamie to King's Landing to exchange for Sansa/Arya, except Arya isn't there.
  • Theon last seen getting knocked out giving a speech, lol.
  • Bastard army of Robb's bannerman (name eludes me aorn) supposed to have been there to defend Winterfell but it got burned down by either the Iron Islander's or possibly this army.
What else?

It's almost like an extremely zoomed out map might only show the largest rivers and lakes on the continent.

This is a world where blue eyed skeletal beings reanimate dead people. The soldiers stood there at least a day and night with no food or water. Dude chopped off a guys nipple and he didnt flinch. A little girl tried to kill Dany with a scorpion with a glowing marking on it, then jumped in the water, and immediately reappeared on the building behind them. Is it all that far fetched that people in this city in this world could kill and then bring back to life a baby that is something like, but more functioning than khal drogo after the witch kept him alive?

Questions:

- Danny says "warlocks" in reference to the little girl who tried to kill her. I thought the warlocks were just 1 guy who could clone himself and that her dragons killed him/them with their fire?

- I'm probably forgetting something from last season, but what ravens is Mormount referring to that Sam was supposed to send?

- Can someone please explain what exactly this insufferable bore Sansa wants? The Hound offered to take her to her family in the North: he can definitely protect her, it seems that he was sincere in his offer, and she acknowledged that she isn't scared of him. She declined that offer and now all of a sudden is desperate to get back North!? Jesus this girl tilts me.

yes

It took a blood sacrifice (Dany's baby) to bring Drogo into a state of life that is less than that of a fully functioning solider. Why would they preform dark rituals to reanimate at least eight thousand babies?

Very similar episode to the first 2 season openers. The main story lines are now set. The most interesting thing to me in the episode was Little Finger saying he was going on a long journey/voyage(not sure) and the Slaver saying he has other offers.

I was just using that as another example of death being avoided or altered in some way in this world - ****, Dany herself cant be killed by fire. I dont know what else is capable in this world, and I was just confused as to how these slave soldiers came to be due to the dialogue and pacing and whatnot. I asked a question, was corrected several times (thanks) and simply responded to the guy calling me an idiot.

LF's pockets aren't that deep are they?

Also, that just seemed like a seller's tactic by the slave owner.

I assume there are just more warlocks. It is kind of implied by Xaro a few times in s2 where he talks about 'warlocks' plural; the House of Undying is where 'they' go to read books or and huff glue or w/e he said (not an exact quote, heh). Anyways, seems obv there are more warlocks.

yeah I think the translator mentioned other buyers while the seller said something like "tell her she has till tomorrow".

Would be interesting if Littlefinger was planning on visiting Dany.

Another thought- surely Joffrey has gotten wind of both Dany's existence and her dragons (Varys told Tyrion about it). I also would assume he would want her dead like Robert did. Not sure why this has not been addressed. Even if Varys withheld this info, Pycelle would mention something to Joffrey about it.

Alright, so this includes POV information from a book reader. No spoilers, but just wanted to let you guys know I am a book reader, so no one is like, "where'd you get that info!?"
Spoiler:

Sansa is a young girl going to hide in bedroom during a battle going on when a drunk man accosts. This man has been serving the king who has had her beat on multiple occasions, and has appeared fiercely loyal to said king. When the Hound gives her the opportunity to leave, she does not actually know if she can trust him, or if it's another one of Joffery's cruel games for her - as he has taken to abusing her mentally and physically.

LittleFinger, on the other hand, is known to her as a friend of her family - or at least a friend of her mother's. He also tempts her with information about seeing Cat and seeing Arya (a sister that she thought was dead). She has incomplete information in both situations and who can say if she was right in declining the hounds offer? But that doesn't make her stupid for doing so, or for trusting LF. She's a 15 year old girl who is acting without complete information.

Butnahhh? Or maybe?

Spoiler:
Probably not

Gizmo, pretty sure I never said she was stupid...just that she's the character who annoys/bores me the most.

I'll try some bullets
  • Little Finger is going on long trip. Based on how he has just been a tool for the Lannisters, my guess is this would be an official trip. Joffrey mentioned that he wanted a royal army. He seems like the type that would buy a slave army. Though with Tywin in KL, this is less likely. He could be doing Tywin's bidding. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I got the impression it was going to be a long trip, so I'd say either North of the Wall or across the sea. Adding to it not being a personal trip, he would never want to give up his wealth in Westeros.
  • Robb is ridiculously close to Kings Landing. Based on the Red Lady's conversation with Stannis last season about how this war will go on for a long time and he will betray people etc., I'd say a Robb/Stannis pact could be in order. The Lannister and Tyrell armies are in KL. Starks and Baratheons are on each a side. Imo, it would take Stannis or Robb retreating in order for them not to fight again at KL. White Walkers or Winterfell burning could play a role in this.
  • Tywin genuinely hates Tyrion. Tyrion is not going to like this. He did his part, and did it well, but Tywin will never see him as an equal. Tyrion got a taste for power and he doesn't want it to go away. Schemes are imminent, and we know exactly what he wants, Casterly Rock.
  • Barristan Selmy has pledged for Dany. Varys plotted to have the Dothraqi invade Westeros and make Dany Queen. Former Kingsguard for the last 2 kings and a small council member...Dany has her powerful friends already, but where will an army emerge? Based on her disgust and Jorah's previous comments about buying an army, they probably don't buy the slave army. Can Barristan raise an army? Tyrion would be a good fit with this bunch. Dany's two closest advisors are both cast outs. Though in order for that to happen, his niece and nephew would both have to die.

Ok granted I've been drinking but on 2p2 app this is nothing but black text on black background and four bullets. Anyways, awesome premiere.

That's a smart dragon, already having learned that it's better to cook your food.

Barristan Selmy scene was epic
04-01-2013 , 01:54 AM
Tyrion joining Dany would be awesome but I can't see that happening. He isn't going to betray his family; I don't think. He wants his birthright and isn't going to take no for an answer. The only question is how.
04-01-2013 , 02:07 AM
I think Tyrion will betray his family. There is no room for him to get what he wants within the Tywin-led Lannister family. Tywin left him with no choice but to betray him.
