Okay, a fair stretch on this one, but what if all the legendary Bran Starks of the past (Bran the Builder, Bran the Shipwright, Bran the Breaker, etc.) are all the Bran the Treenboy skinchanging his ancestral heroes? We know he can influence the past, for example Ned turning his head after hearing Bran talk to him, and he hasn't been taught the ethics of skinchanging humans. Perhaps Bloodraven will teach Bran to combine these two aspects of his powers.
And, some insurance if you think this theory is bull****, you can shorthand it to BS=BS.

Quote:
Sometimes Nan would talk to him as if he were her Brandon, the baby she had nursed all those years ago, and sometimes she confused him with his uncle Brandon, who was killed by the Mad King before Bran was even born. She had lived so long, Mother had told him once, that all the Brandon Starks had become one person in her head.

ive had too many theories about bran.

No idea about the rules of arm wrestling, and i get that this guy is intentionally giving the impression that he's just ****ing around with the mountain each match (and he probably was, e.g when the mountain is ahead and just gives up), but you can just use your body weight like that in an arm wrestling match?

I feel like the two time world heavyweight champion arm wrestler is probably familiar with the rules of competitive arm wrestling.

I was surprised that you can use your body weight in an arm wrestling match, not suggesting the dude was breaking rules.

i'm sure The Mountain isn't worried too much because the second they take that little table away he has a 200lb weight advantage + he's a helllllllloooovva lot stronger in movements that matter

think of all the things you do in everyday life that mimic the movement of arm wrestling...

Jon Snow filming a scene, apparently, with Melisandre. anybody have any guesses why these two would be in a scene together??

I've been going through Preston Jacobs playlists for the last couple of nights (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXU...9vAA/playlists), they're just freaking amazing. Watched Alliances of Iron, Daenerys and the Dornish Master Plan so far.

It's just amazing to me that he (or the whole community I guess, he's probably aggregating a lot of this) is able to pull these theories together, and that there's legitimate arguments to be made based on stuff in the books I just flew over. (Oh, the ship Theon returned to the Iron Islands on, where he banged the captain's daughter, it went to Seaguard when it got out of blockade 6 months later, when it should have gone to Oldtown, which tells us the Greyjoy hating Jason Mallister was the real killer, of course! Quentyn was described as never smiling, but the tattered prince laughed a lot, and the burn victim at the end of ADWD smiles before he dies and Quentyn's pals never explicitly say he died - Quentyn's alive!)

No matter what % of these theories end up being right, it's pretty amazing the level of detail GRRM was able to weave in here.

It occurred to me during my current reread (halfway through book 3 at the moment) that Theon may end up ruling the Iron Islands, marry the girl from the ship, and legitimize a son already born. Perhaps Asha already knows the girl has a son.

Is there any theory out there about this?

so much so that if you go to the forums on westeros.org, they really don't talk about his stuff very much because he is essentially plagiarizing theories that others have formulated and then the community has revised (though when you put something on an open forum, imo it's a little ridiculous to get pissed when someone else regurgitates it).

i watch all of his stuff because i honestly don't care. he produces, imo, the best asoiaf videos that i've seen. he also condenses the material into some what easily understandable ways. he can have my clicks for the work he has done to produce them.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which is just a combination of the 3 previously released stories (The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight) is about Dunk and Egg.

Dunk is Sir Duncan the Tall, future commander of the Kingsguard
Egg is future King Aegon V

it takes place ~100 years before GoT

pretty excited the books are out now

and the video I do like - a lot of his theories are off the wall but the idea that White Walkers aren't just evil personified and there is nuance to them does jive with the rest of the universe.

I don;t want to be one of the ****heads who shout "the book is better. the book is better" but I am just incredibly salty how book 6 and 7 wont be out until after HBO finishes the series up

I can't believe people refer to this book as "the boring one." If you just enjoy the story for what it is, and don't bitch about ZOMG WHY IS THERE NO DRAGONS OR WHITE WALKERS OR TYRION?!!! (which, OK, yeah I did that too the first time), it is some of the best character writing of the entire series.

My most recent re-read project has been to read all the chapters for each POV in books 4/5 in a continuous line, and I think it's a lot more enjoyable. You can't do it until you know the overall chronology, but I think you pick up a LOT more of the little hints and "fishhooks" that Martin drops.

AFFC was my fav book(haven't read ADWD). Loved the inside look of kings landing and the politics involved. Cersei, Arya and jamie. their chapters were all magnificent in this book.
