Rewatching all the show before the new season starts. I forgot how awesome Viserys was. I hope I dont forget about how awesome Joffrey is in a couple years too.

Also I still hate how the show did the wedding night of Dany and Drogo, the book was considerably better.

What one scene besides RW are you all looking forward to? This book has the one on one combat scenes imo and I think the beric/hound is by far the best. Distant second being red viper and mountain. And I'm pretty sure the episode George wrote is the beric/hound scene.

One thing I'm not really excited about is the possible crossing of paths between Mel and Thoros. Looks like Gendry is going to take over the Edric Storm role as it looked liked Mel was with Thoros at one point in the trailers. Obviously this would be to convince the BWB to give up Gendry. Not a fan of these two R'hllor followers meeting. Not sure why it just doesn't seem right.

The burning of Astapor and the associated scenes around it ranks above the Red Wedding for me. Its my favourite part in the five books as Dany instantly turns the tables on everyone revealing herself the cunning and clever leader she will need to be and she becomes the beloved breaker of chains freeing all the slaves she won who then choose to follow her.

In one moment she shows herself as much the natural loved leader as Robb was before he broke his oath and the cunning strategist as Tywin is.

Of course she goes off and conquers the other two great slave cities then kills time in Meereen for almost two full books waiting for the cogs to rotate, showing the same weakness that got Ned killed when she refuses to execute her hostages or sack the pyramids containing the old masters like she should have. But in Astapor she was truly great.

The Unsullied scenes gave me chills... Going to be unbelievable.

I hope they have the slaver cursing her and calling her all those names that she can hear and understand. Mwahahahaha.

Randyll threatens to kill sam if he doesnt go to the wall. Hardly a huge reveal but only thing i can think of that even somewhat fits... like i said i am as confused as the op who quoted that article. Although on reading it again i think i just misread that part of the article and they are talking about other parts of the novel and not referring to sam. So my guess now is that sam is not the one who opens the door for brans party.

Originally i was excited for tyrion and oberyns meeting but doesnt look like that will happen.

I am also very excited for joffs birthday present from tyrion although i dont think it can possibly live up to the book.

I think the number one thing i am looking forward to are extra scenes with queen of thorns which is almost guaranteed.

He did. They pulled it out of the ground from the stone covered hiding stop near the fist. It was wrapped in nw cloak and everything. Definitely arrow heads and I think daggers too. He even correctly identified it as dragonglass/obsidian.

I clearly need to rewatch everything! Oh darn...


I'm super excited for the Hound/Dondarian fight scene. Very excited. Also looking very much so forward to the Lord's Kiss, because I'm a creep.

Oh and the bear pit and the fight between brienne and jamie and Jamie losing his hand... all of that!
