Don't Trust the B in Apt 23 Don't Trust the B in Apt 23

So like... I actually really enjoyed this. I thought a few times the jokes were a bit over broad and obvious- but for the most part pretty funny- and managed to pull off a not super easy to execute premise.

I officially have a giant crush on Dreama Walker.

Dreama Walker was excellent on The Good Wife in a recurring role.

I like the 2nd episode alot better than the first. (Hulu)

ABC is pretty much guaranteeing a renewal by putting it after Modern Family. Ratings should be out in the next 30 minutes.

Just watched it and enjoyed it too. Only bit I disliked was the super-cliche, "that's the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me" Bleh, especially after showing her parents.

Dawson is the Mooon!

I laughed a couple times. It wasn't really that funny, but still enjoyable. I don't know how many times they are going to recycle the Dawson's Creek joke, but it seems like a lot. I think the other thing we will see a lot of is James Van Der Beek vs. Rival Hunky B-List Actor, i.e. James Franco, which is funnier than a Dawson reference for the 100th time. The whip cream bikini homage to Varsity Blues was funny though.

I'll keep watching.

i was reallllllllllly worried when they showed the first scene of the series, and then went back "10 days earlier" that the entire show's plot was going to be how they got from moving in together to Chloe sleeping with June's fiancee. Glad that was just a one episode thing, and now they can move on.

Enjoyed this alot, JVDB is a boss

I thought it was really terrible until JVDB appeared and was a boss. After that it was tolerable but it really isn't very good.

Pretty much this. The Beek was terrific and the black haired lead was meh for the most part, though i did like her more at the end.

If you have a crush on the blonde headed girl you really, really, really need to get laid, get out more, or move to a decent city. Honestly she is pretty average, at least in this show. ( never seen her before).

I thought it was mediocre, but showed enough promise to give it a few more episodes.

To me the things that weren't good about this were mostly to do with having to rush to setup the premise. Going forward and just looking at the style of the show, and the interaction between the leads, I think there's a lot of promise.

razz,

Sometimes crushes aren't always on the hottest person possible. (but she's well above avg too).

I didn't laugh much -- actually, never laughed out loud once -- but I did enjoy watching it and will continue until it starts to suck. Ritter is good.

think the 2 lead chicks are very hot. and it was pretty funny for a pilot, which imo, are normally not that great.

interested to see how it develops.

Gave serious consideration to watching, but didn't as yet. It looked too much like one of those shows where I'll think it's okay but not great and will keep watching out of habit more than enjoyment, and I already have far too many of those (I'm talking about you Dexter and Boardwalk Empire!!!!)

But if the thread gives me enough hope I may give it a shot around episode 5 or so.

I had to watch specifically cause of the last 3 seconds of the trailer. I figured it earned at least that. I'm glad it turned out to be enjoyable.

True enough Dids.

Im curious as to how much they can squeeze out of the Beek. I enjoyed his scenes though can see it getting old if it doesnt really develop into much more than "heres the Beek, isnt ironic and meta and blah..."

Also agree that the style of the show is better than most sitcoms. Meh

I don't think I could ever get tired of watching the Beek from the Creek playing a warped version of himself. Just like if there were a show based on NPH playing himself from Harold and Kumar, I would watch it every week.

Totally agree with above responder - I thought of the same thing. NPH did the irony thing in the Harold & Kumar movies and then kept it up in HIMYM, and after a while just showed everyone he's all around great so who he was and how he/we got there didn't matter anymore.

definitely has potential. ritter are vdb are obviously great. i thought the blonde would be the show's weakness, but after seeing both eps, she's not bad.
