Dexter Season Eight: The ordeal will finally be over Dexter Season Eight: The ordeal will finally be over

The whole Vogel plot is so boring and inept. I don't see why anyone should give a **** after 7 seasons of thinking Harry alone created him.

I don't dislike the idea itself of introducing Vogel. They botch it, though, as per usual and that's kind of annoying.

Just get people suspicious of Dexter so we can enjoy these last episodes.

Was the red Popsicle all over Harrison a foreshadowing?

Doakes>>> Quinn. Especially if Quinn is the one who is going to find out about Dexter.

Deb being Vogel's mom would make the unavoidable Deb/Vogel/Dexter trio so much hotter.

Anyway, episode was meh, dexter has certainly been worse. I'm curious wether the promo was only next episode stuff. If it was, it looked pretty cool.

Dexter's argumentation is also great. "your murderous former patient with the serious psychological problems denies knowing you (the shrink who only treats the worst cases). he's definitely hiding something." o rly?

Yeah, anyone not currently murdering people was going to go "Oh, yeah, I remember her, she treated me for having psychopathic murderous desires." Then again, even I would say something like that if some weirdo I haven't met before starts casing me at my workplace.

Didn't he pretty much find out already but chose to forget about it when Dexter cleared him of Robocop's death? Or did he really not connect the dots? Seeing how brain-dead Quinn is I'd believe the latter.

Been wondering about this too for a while, it happened in s5 right? It's like the writers completely forgot that Quinn surely has to know and I'm very surprised this isn't brought up more often.

Another thing I noticed was that the volume on the phone was turned all the way down but you could hear all the sound

I wonder this almost every time Dexter and Quinn interact. It might be a BB thing where he needs that one clue to connect the dots. The writers really seemed to just drop the whole thing and never addressed it.

Yeah I'd like to re-watch the end of Season 5 to refresh myself, but that would involve re-watching the end of Season 5.

You guys continue to rip into the show. No, it's not as good as it was, but it's still pretty good. The majority of shows peak in the first 4 or so seasons and live on.

It should also be noted that there are a few 'plot holes' you talk about that aren't really plot holes at all. Example:

At the end of episode 1 she lets him know 'I know about you'. First scene of episode 2 is them talking about the history of how she knows. It wouldn't be hard for Dexter to quickly work out she is no threat to him. I mean she has known all this time and hasn't done anything about it. It's pretty obvious she isn't planning on telling to many people, you know being that she was the one that helped teach him to kill people and all. It's the same as saying Dexter should have killed his Dad, because he knew.

A really flimsy 'plot hole' guys.

And I'm not arguing about the writing going down hill, it has, but it is still definitely entertaining.

You're right but don't talk like Dexter doesn't have any plotholes. Ever since S5 every episode had tons of plotholes, stupid **** and much much more.

I like that in the process of trying to find a serial killer he stumbles upon a completely unrelated serial killer.

So even with all the general hate towards the show, can we at least agree that the opening credits are GOAT.

The opening credits haven't been good since season 2, season 4 at the latest.

Wat? Or do you mean the actual actor names being displayed (i.e. no more Doakes and Rita)?

They're cool as far as opening credits go but I always skip them, only opening credits I routinely watch are game of thrones

That's not that unusual. Serial killers are all over the place in Miami. What's unusual is that Miami hasn't been depopulated yet.

One thing I didn't like about this season is Vogel's assumption that every sociopath will become a serial killer which is very inaccurate.
