Returning tonight for 5th season.

Joel McHale also did a Reddit AMA earlier today: http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comment...a_repilot_ama/

Who's hyped? I most definitely am!

2 episodes as well, or an hour long one. Either way, twice as much as usual

Well I guess at least it only took them one episode to clean up.

Just saw both episodes...

..I just don't know what I think about it. It's so all over the place. It seems there's more funny moments, but it's all disjointed.

I really liked both episodes, actually. First one was a bit better, but I laughed out loud a few times at both, and I can't remember doing much of that last season.

In the second, "Always Be Cageing" on the blackboard and the meatballs-every-day bit at the end both really got me. Plus, wow. They felt like legit characters again, especially in the premiere.

I agree, really enjoyed them. It actually feels like community again.

I didn't find them disjointed at all. One of my criticisms of last season was often the episodes did feel too frantic and disjointed, like they were trying to force too much "Community" in each episode. The worst offender was probably the premiere with the Hunger Deans or maybe the colliding timelines at the end of the season.

Tonight's first episode was very good. They did a really good job of resetting the series while still acknowledging the existence of season 4 (I half expected Harmon to have Abed wake up and declare s4 a dream). Second wasn't as strong and probably somewhere in the lower half of season 1-3 episodes for me although I still liked it. Jonathan Banks should be a good fit replacing Pierce at the table. Definitely looking forward to more.

Got a laugh out of them casually referencing "the gas leak year".

I thoroughly enjoyed both. It was everything last season wasn't, and in such subtle ways. I certainly have a newfound respect for Harmon.

Good episodes. I liked the 1st episode more than the 2nd, but both were enjoyable.

both felt right, which is a miracle. very excited now.

is Banks the new Pierce or was that a one off you think? I actually like that Pierce got kind of a send off as well

Jup, this is Community again. Both episodes better than every episode in the previous season, outside maybe two or three.

Compared to the first three seasons these were below average episodes, but that's just natural deterioration. This show is so good that it's still better than every other comedy out now.

Has it already been confirmed that this is the last season, by the way? It seems like they were dropping some hints towards it.

NBC sucks and has no good shows, so this and Parks will probably be on the "bubble" again every year and then they'll both get to season 10.

Man, I hope I was just in a bad mood or something, given that most of you guys loved the episodes. The french song and the Nic Cage freak out didn't really land for me.

I will rewatch in a couple days. I hope season 4 didn't break me. I want to enjoy like you guys!

Thought repilot was pretty boring but the 2nd one was spot on, laughed a lot.

Thought the first was awesome. Thought the second was OK.

I think Mike E takes Pierce's place for the table scenes. Student-Faculty Committee to Save Greendale or w/e it was called.
