Yeah, the fact she didn't made it better.

Also liked the "penis fly trap" description of Britta.

i love the weirdly divergent opinions that always comes up in these threads.

i for one thought this was a huge return to form for community and am no longer really worried about it like i was after the last two... subway plot was A++

Britta/Subway stuff was incredible.

Pierce was great--loved the drinking ink bit.

Fort thing was whatever, but still enjoyed the episode alot.

I'm a moron. Didn't get it until I read this.

Enjoyed the Britta/Subway stuff and the fort stuff was interesting as a setup. Didn't care for the Kim storyline, but the "I didn't sneeze" joke was really solid.

This episode was fine but really complex and is going to need another watch to really understand some of the dialog and subplot. 2 episode fort could be fun.

I got all the "1984" references, 'cause I have read this book some time ago, but I'm currently halfway through "The Fountainhead". What "The Fountainhead" references did this episode exactly have?

On re-watch, just noticed I also COMPLETELY missed, "Look, I was just googling record lengths of stuff...".

Maybe I was tired or something.

it's weird though, i havent enjoyed Troy and Abed for a while now, but I still enjoy the show. no one is really standing out, I guess Britta and the Dean are. Pierce has been pretty damn good actually. Jeff and Annie are invisible, i forget about them. Shirley still aids. everytime she says "Brit-ta" I want to punch the tv

Outside of John Goodman this was a whole lot of mediocre table setting for what I a hope will be an excellent part 2.

lol tx for explaining the jacket joke, didnt get that one.

Loved the "i was googling record lenghts of stuffs and ...", made me lol hard (yes. hard.)

Solid episode for me, I liked all the story lines. Im not bothered by the return of the fort story. Britta & Subway killed it (rewatching Scrubs atm, and Travis Schuldt (Keith) took so much weight, wtf).

I didnt get why Shirley said "Brit-taahhhh" everytime this episode. Is it new ? I never noticed it. Made me even more mad at her.

Jeff's storyline was weak but since it was like the 4th ranked storyline of the episode, i dont mind.

I was a terrible combination of sick/tired and high while watching this, and I'm not sure it was any good- but the ending got me hella emotional.

I thought the Subway thing was a bit oppressively meta- but they got some good jokes from it. Also like that they're still working with the Jeff/Annie stuff.

Subway bit was great, and reminded me of GoldenPalace.com paying someone to change their name to Golden Palace.

Lol I wonder if Jeff actually did forget that he and Annie kissed.

Really liked a bunch of the throwaway gags: ink shots, "deaf hamsters," "I mean I grew up in the Bay Area but my god... I have a son..." (Subway boss listening to the tape), John Goodman going through a "thing". And serious conflict between Troy and Abed among all the craziness. Easily my favorite of the last three.

I probably can't explain it without spoiling the book, finish the book and watch the episode again and you'll get the references.

Spoiler:
The Fountainhead's main story is about an architect who is exceptional but non-conventional and is constantly being forced to compromise his ideals and integrity in his designs. At the end he designs a big fancy housing development and it ultimately gets drastically changed from what he designed and rather than see his vision compromised he decides to blow it up.

The episode makes parallels to Abed being like that guy, refusing to be conventional and compromise his integrity or vision, this against the backdrop of them designing a "buildings"

In addition I was wondering for awhile what the 'Digital Exploration' part of this episode's title referred to but then chuckled when I finally got it.
