Really? Didnt realise that was Hillary Duff. Though tbh i cant think of anything ive ever seen her in.

Btw i think the later followup on the hedge trimmers when Pierce says something like "you cant stop me" and Jeff glances at them and goes to get them i thought was hilarious.

The funny thing is i think this is one of the worst Community eps of the entire show. I still enjoyed it. The quality average of the show is pretty immense.

donald glover is amazing.

laughed so so hard at the racist reveal. another great ep.

watching it a second time now, missed some little one liners - obv.

edit: right after teh Rowboat Cop line when all you can hear is Abed saying "BAD.. BAAD" to the black girl by the locker. great. and all of chang's expressions/jeers too.

Wow, surprised by the love for this ep, although I was expecting to come here and find a wall of text arguing it wasn't 22 minutes of forgettable TV but in fact an indictment of monotheism lol.

Troy's comedy grows on me every episode. Just about every over-the-top expression he made this episode was fantastic.

Can someone make a gif of Troy laughing and then saying "WHAT?!" I feel like that will come in handy in SE.

I would love to give Annie a boob bump.

"bitch, bitch, you're a bitch too, I'm a bitch..." was awesome.

Does anyone know if the Jeff/Troy stuff was parodying anything specifically? I was getting a Alice in Wonderland vibe at first and then I thought maybe Secret Garden, but I don't really know. I'm assuming that music and lighting effects was a parody of something, but maybe I'm wrong.

i don't know but i got the alice in wonderland feel too but at first i actually thought we were gonna have a sandlot spoof. it was short lived but the ball over a fence and one guy sneaking in to find it...i'd say what could have been but i enjoyed what they did so no complaints here

I got a Chronicles of Narnia feel, based on the walking through the wooden doors and entering a different world. And the lighting changed too.

Ahh, could be. Never saw that. Figured it was something I hadn't seen before, even though I had Alice and Secret Garden vibes.

On a related note, the episode was on the other night with the clip at the end where Abed and Troy are organising the water fight with supersoakers, and Pierce comes in and shoots them with the tiny pistol filled with pepper water. Right after he does it, he drops the gun and walks outs exactly like Godfather (and by extension Sopranos/many other mafia inspired films/tv). Such a fun little touch and one of those things I missed the first time round. Such immense rewatch value.

The door design was so elaborate that either its some kind of stage prop they found lying around or had it made up to specifically reference something. They have added in random props they found such as the phantom of the opera mask Jeff wore in the drunk dial ep so its not certain either way but i suspect it was chosen on purpose as a reference to something, ive just no clue what.

The initial walk through the hedge was a secret garden ref imo.

I really thought it was gonna be some hedge maze type of deal at first where the guys would get lost in.

The first scene with the basketball and the girls talking felt weird and jumpy like it was edited really poorly or something, I dunno that's just the feel I got, but everything after that, especially the Troy and Jeff stuff was pure gold. I laughed way too hard at the racist reveal.

Ok watched it again and it had nothing to do with editing it just wasn't funny and Britta was awful.
