Nowhere did I say those guys were hacks, so don't know why you are insinuating that I think they are fwiw.

The post of yours that I quoted and responded to had no reasoning or substance behind it. That's why I asked you what it was about Tosh's work you don't like. Just assumed that since you couldn't articulate at the time why you hated Tosh, that you liked ****ty comics, which from your more recent post, proved me wrong. Sorry about throwing that out there. Thankfully you didn't list Mencia, Cook, Sinbad, Gallagher as your favorite comics, because than I would've had to rip into you for that.

My favorite comics, just to show that people can like similar stand-ups but have differing views on one particular comic (not in any particular order of favorites):
David Cross
Louis C.K.
Kyle Kinane
George Carlin
Chris Rock
Daniel Tosh
Patton Oswalt
Anthony Jeselnik
Patrice O'Neal
Mitch Hedberg
Todd Barry
Arj Barker
Mike Birbiglia
Marc Maron
Bobcat Goldthwait
Bill Hicks
Dave Chappelle
Katt Williams
Aziz Ansari
Lewis Black
Donald Glover
Doug Benson
Greg Giraldo
Norm MacDonald
Keavin Nealon
Greg Proops
Robert Schimmel
Sarah Silverman
Nick Swardson
Steven Wright

Also, I totally get people not loving Tosh's standup. I like Tosh.O but have similar sentiments about his stand-up missing the mark. Just feel like he swings and misses on his commentary. That being said I totally get why college kids love his shtick, if I hadn't gotten in Louis CK, Maron, etc. first I would have initially found his stand-up appealing.

Where is Gallagher on that list, you're ****ing terrible.

LOL I've heard of that black gallagher bit but I never saw it for myself.

Nick Swardson is hilarious. Everything I've seen him in has made me laugh. Here's my favorite:

Yeah I don't think those segments are great but they always make me laugh when I think about them afterwards

Seriously, see his CC special, if you don't like that, then he's not for you

I know I've seen him in some stuff (can't remember what in particular) and really enjoyed him, just not those bits.

Patrice did not "kill". Not even close.

Rewatched it too, he kills it. Just not standard roast delivery.

I loved how genuine, honest, and real Patrice's set was. It kind of reminded me of Giraldo in the Foxworthy roast. I strongly prefer that type of roast where they're just being genuinely funny and not just the same formulaic roast jokes for the 25th time and just swapped out the name.

EDIT: I meant Larry the Cable Guy roast*

I always think Greg Proops is English for some reason.

Patrice was on O&A last week and said he basically improvised his set b/c the producers screwed him over and made him go last even though he had never done a roast before and 90% of the prepared jokes he had were done in some manner by the other people on the dais.

It seems like going anywhere but near the middle of a roast is a challenge.

I'm seeing Patrice @ Helium in Philly Friday night. Last time I saw him there I injured my face from laughing so hard.

I get the impression (especially now that you say his standup is "story telling oriented") that Patrice may have been surprised but wasn't overly offended. I thought his set was funny but his timing was a bit hard to get used to.
All of this. As a whole the field was really weak. Giraldo

Finally got around to seeing this. I saw the uncensored version. 2 parts I was dying at:

When Amy Schumer is roasting, a drunk Mike Tyson awkwardly interrupts(as he was doing all night) her and says, "If Amy had as many d*cks coming out of her as going in her, she'd look like a f*ckin porcupine." It was just so random.

Also, at the end, Steve-O breaks his nose by jumping into Mike Tyson's fist, and Shatner gives the most confused face and says, "Steve-O, what the f*ck, man?!"

Looks like a stroke may be killing Patrice today. Huge bummer. Hope he pulls through.

Norton doesn't know if O'Neal is going to fully recover.

"We don't know how he is. We don't know how he's going to be," said Norton. "I didn't want to do this by myself. I wish we had more news for you."

I hope Patrice pulls through. One of my all time favs - I can't deal with losing another one so soon.
