So they made a point to show the tarantula twice this episode. Can't for the life of me figure out how it will play a role

yes, in fact I think this week was the best episode of the season ... so far

If this is not just symbolism and actually has some plot relevance I will be incredibly upset.

they destroyed every bit of evidence except for the jar with the kids prints on it I'm guessing

I'm with Dids, the episode was good but it felt more like a bridge than an OMG episode, I thought the cliffhanger ending for the first time felt a bit too teasy and unsatisfying, and the whistling was a little over the top.

We already knew this from season one if I remember correctly.

I think the bit with the spider is likely just showing that Todd is feeling some remorse with like a 5% chance it's a trophy and he's ****ing extra crazy.

I knew he was a part of it, and something happened, but I didn't know the details of the split, as much. If it was told before in an earlier season, well then I stand corrected.

or the spider jar is a loose end just like Landry is

Skylar was pretty Michelle Pfeiffer-ish tonight imo

I think it's showing that todd is just psycho and he is truly fascinated by the f'n spider like a little kid.

It was a great episode, whether it is better than previous episodes really doesn't matter.

Spoiler:
I thought this episode was weak. I think a plan to steal a bunch of money from another huge drug cartel is a pretty silly plot turn. Walt should just give up the meth game and become James Bond.

Post moved into spoilers because it's based on next ep's preview. Don't bother clicking though- it's really dumb.

IIRC we didn't know there was a 5k buyout- but we knew the basics that Walt could have been rich if he'd been able to stay a part of the company.

You need to read High Fidelity!

I really doubt the plan is going to be stealing from the other meth operation, that doesn't seem like something mike would go for

.
Is your review of the ep is based on something that wasn't in the ep at all AND that you didn't bother to but in spoilers, or is this just demented speculation?

I also thought it meant Landry is remorseful. Hopefully he doesn't barge into a police station and confess like last time.

Strongest episode of the season. The two Scenes with Jesse at Walt's house were the highlights for me.

While watching the show I had this part of me wishing Walt would just take the 5 million and everyone could walk away with a happy ending. Obviously I knew that wouldn't happen, but I think it speaks to how the writers have gotten me so emotionally interested in these characters. Part of me still wants Walt to walk away with a happy ending. I don't think thats what's going to (or even should) happen to complete this masterpiece, but Im very attached to these guys....it's amazing.

Comparison is a pretty important foundation to reviews. Just something being good in a vacuum isn't really that informative.

Right, but we didnt know that it was his choice, or what happened.

I only want a moderately happy ending so that we get BB the Movie after the end of the next half season

My gut reaction was that suddenly Walt had an out he didn't deserve. I want to see him go down in flames.

Not saying this is you- but I wonder how much people's distaste for Skyler keep them from appreciating just how cruel Walt's being towards her, and how much he was specifically in this ep.
