He then tries to play an extra bargaining chip by saying he knows what really happened to Howard. The DA laughs in his face and tells him Kim already told them everything.
Then, Jimmy is on the plane and tells Oakley that he has more information on Kim, which Oakley says might get Kim in more trouble. Gene smirks and says "Yeah, but it's really good ice cream."
The idea obviously being planted by the writers is that Jimmy has gone full evil Saul and was going to burn it all down at the end for revenge against Kim for leaving him.
Not sure how many fans fell for it, but that seemed to clearly be the idea. The fact that it was all some ruse to get Kim to show up in the courtroom felt a bit lazy to me. How did he know someone would call Kim to tip her off? How did he know that would make her show up? It was just a plot device to get them together at the end. I guess it worked OK just didn't seem that believable to me. Why would Kim need to be there in person to hear what he had to say? And why would he say it in court? If he really had more info, he'd share it with the DA before his hearing, not on the stand. But that's dramatic license I guess, it's a TV show after all, not real life.
this is the easiest suspension of disbelief, in a show that is always asking us to do it. A realistic portrayal of criminal procedure in an hour long show would be 50 minutes of typing on the computer, plus commercials.
As for slippin Jimmy manipulating people, it's a little late in the game for complain about that.
