Soooo glad that they finished that arc right off the bat. There is so much more to get to that if they drug it out all season, it would’ve been a very rushed last couple of eps.

My guess is there is a major time jump in the next episode or 2. Prior to the first half of this final season, I was hoping for a few episodes of post-BrBa/cold-open but I like where they’re going.

yeah i wouldn't mind an ep or two of gene tbh

did something happen to the guy who played tuco? seemed like they were setting up for him to return at some point, but that doesn't seem overly likely now

Agreed - I think two episodes from now Kim realises she can't keep up the charade and bails, Jimmy is sad then we skip to Breaking Bad era + Gene for the last few

have a feeling gus is gonna tell mike to off kim after what she did today, he's not one to let things go like that.

I’m curious why the casualties from Mike’s crew didn’t end up in the hole too. I doubt they’re going to send four guys with fatal gunshot wounds to a funeral home.

Also, I need some help on Lalo’s plan with Jimmy/Kim. I assume he knows Fring’s house is heavily guarded and that Gus is never going down that easily. However, I’m lost on why it matters whether Jimmy or Kim goes. When Kim tells Gus that Jimmy talked Lalo into sending her instead, that seems to trigger something, but I must be missing it. The implication is that this was the plan all along, because of course Lalo didn’t get talked into anything.

Also, on first watch, I thought the only bullets were coming from Lalo, and Gus’s gun was empty. I was trying to wrap my head around that one and wondering if Lalo snuck away in the dark.

I cant understand why it matters who went either. well, really Kim seems like the better choice as Victor doesnt know her and obv shes gonna be less threatening. he def doesnt want the person to get killed bc they need to tell Gus that someones at the apartment so they lift the guards from laundramat.

I just chalk it up to the typical Gilligan fancy play.

I thought the point was that it didn't matter who was sent, and when Kim told Gus that Jimmy convinced Lalo to switch, Gus knew there was something else at play because there's no chance Lalo would change his mind unless it didn't really matter.

So yeah, fancy play

I figured they did, but just didn't put it on film. I'm curious how they got the digger in the cave, and get it back out upon completion.

Agreed, all the Gus/cartel stuff was great, but it seems like they still have a lot of work to do in 5 episodes to show how Jimmy goes from this traumatized state he's in now, loses Kim in some way, and still comes out if it as the flamboyant version of Saul we see at the beginning of BrBa. And then there's the Gene timeline that presumably will get some resolution as well.

yeah i guess lalo not caring who went told gus that whole thing was just a diversion, which should have been obvious to them, but whatever

Regarding bolded….

Doing a rewatch of Breaking Bad and I forgot just how over the top he is early on. Enough so that I’m almost worried BCS won’t stick the landing with that particular thing. The rest, absolutely. But I shouldn’t worry too much. Vince has yet to disappoint lol

Re: Vince disappointing.

Prior to last night's episode, AMC replayed the final BB season. one of the scenes I caught was where Hank faked Jesse's death with the calf brains. Because I'd just seen that a few hours earlier, I'm thinking something similar swill happen when Kim shows up at Gus' house.

Ofc, Gilligan & Co did not disappoint. Just based on that episode, Seehorn's Emmy nomination is well-deserved.

Why didn't Lalo just kill Jimmy after Kim left?

Because Jimmy has to survive through Breaking Bad!

I really don’t have a good answer for this. Once Kim is on her way to Gus’s, the ruse is in motion, and Jimmy serves no further purpose.

I think there's a good chance that it will be explained by Saul putting up a front while in public. Likewise, we will probably see that there was much more going on behind the scenes during the BB timeline than Saul let Walt and Jesse to know. For example, in BB Saul referred to Gus as "I know a guy who knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy" or something along the lines, but it's pretty fair to assume that considering what BCS has established, Saul is actually at least somewhat more in the know.
