Watching last week's episode again, my mind is just as blown as it was the first time. Simply a sensational hour of television

WTF my DVR started at 9:05 so i missed the open. Chuck and Jimmy in the hospital, their mom died. What did I miss before that?

edit: found this on reddit, will paste here for people who's DVRs betrayed them as well.

Jimmy and Chuck in the hospital with their mom whose been there for 3 days. Jimmy goes to get food during which time mom wakes up, says jimmy's name twice, then flatlines. No attempts to revive because DNR. Chuck says their mom didn't say any final words.

Had an oh snap moment as I realized Chuck was recording the conversation when he asked Jimmy if he understood that he was confessing to a felony. Gotta believe Jimmy's name gets tarnished when everything comes to light and that he's forced to forge a new identity as Saul.

Gotta believe the note was from Gus.
Spoiler:
FRING'S BACK anagram
.

Great finale.

It was a "falling and hitting his head" joke, not an "I can't tell the difference between two people" joke, but thanks for showing off your knowledge of actors' names in a dickish way.

My feelings as well. Mike's cliffhanger was intense, but I feel blue balled. Jimmy/chuck cliffhanger was not a good one.

Amazing season, though. Sucks to have to wait 9 months.

I disagree, I think the Jimmy/Chuck ending was perfect. Even though I am sure we all felt what Chuck was up to, it was great. Sets ups perfect for next season....same as Mikes. I thought it was an excellent episode. Funniest thing was the commercial on the Hospital TV, and the following commercial being for a weasel. Gilligans a genius.

i know this is a great show when i know where jimmy ends up, i know where mike ends up, and yet my stomach still turns from the suspense of each scene. what a great ride.

Watching Talking Saul right now, Vince Gilligan confirmed the Fring's back anagram was intentional.

Finale was a bit of a letdown for me. It was still really good but I was a little tilted at some of Jimmy's decisions this episode. I had hoped he wouldn't go into the copy shop following Chuck's concussion, but the main thing I hated was the confession at the end of the episode. I quickly caught on to the fact that the whole thing was a setup, and I was disappointed that a conman as good as Jimmy didn't catch on as well.

Also was a bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Gus directly, although it's certainly implied the note was his. I suppose the "threat is stronger than the execution" when it comes to potentially putting huge BB characters into BCS.

Overall, incredible S2, especially Episode 9, which was probably my favorite of the series. Cannot wait for S3

wait, what? how is it implied the note is from Gus? Why would we think that in any way or shape?

I assumed the note was from Nacho

As far as being surprsed Jimmy didnt catch on because he is such a good conman, I believe Chuck is like his kryptonite. I think he is the one person that Jimmy is blind to because he feels so deeply for Chuck. His feelings outweigh his smarts when it comes to Chuck. Chuck could literally shoot Jimmy and Jimmy would still feel for him. I think his brotherly love blinds him....and maybe all the damn decorating Chuck did to the room helped as well haha

How could the note be from Nacho? Mike parked his car, immediately took his rifle up the hill and got in position, Nacho walked out of the house minutes later and then went back inside, then the horn to Mike's car went off and someone left a note. Clearly couldn't have been Nacho

i mean, if not directly from Nacho he could have orchestrated it. He's already suspicious of Mike's desire to take out Hector.

My point is, Nacho would at least make sense. How is there any implication whatsoever that the note is from Gus Fring? We haven't seen or heard his name in any capacity in the show thusfar, right? Did I miss something?

I get that a bunch of smart internet fans are piecing things together like the episode title anagram or whatever, but that has nothing to do with the story the show is telling.

I got Fring as leaving the note for sure. Nothing else really make sense and it's a really VG thing to do especially with the sniper scope shots callback.

Also didn't like Jimmy just confessing at the end. Think there almost has to be something more to it as far as Jimmy's motivations go and there's a decent chance he knew he was on tape. Just not buying the confession otherwise and I have full faith in VG.

Nacho being behind the note would also perfectly explain how he was "coincidentally" blocking Hector the entire time he was in gun sight.

It's impossible for Nacho to have left the note himself. Woulda had to have been through a third party.
