I'm a completist and would always start at the beginning, but if you really must jump in at a higher point, start with Season 3. There are things that carry over from Season 2 though, so...

If we were talking about like The Golden Girls you could make an argument that you can get away with watching just one peak season or two, but with Seinfeld you should probably watch every single one.

Edit: Also, S1&2 of Seinfeld come in one package because Season 1 is just 5 episodes, and S2 is only a half season. S2 has one of the all-time classics, The Chinese Restaurant, so just start at the beginning as long as you're not going to give up if you're disappointed early on.

Season 1 of Seinfeld is probably the weakest but it's still very good but definitely has a more sitcomy feel then the other seasons.

One thing I really hate about Seinfeld, and all other sitcoms that have it, is the stupid laugh track.

Arrested Development and it's not even close.

And the laughter wasn't ever a problem for me because they were never exagerrating their reactions and I was usually laughing whenever they were laughing. It's not like that 70s show where the laughter single handedly ruined it.

Come on guys.. I love AD but Seinfield is still so far ahead it's not even funny.

I disagree, Seinfeld is even funny. Very funny, as a matter of fact. But AD is even funnier.

Seinfeld, taken as a whole, is way better than the other two. There are a lot of factors contributing to people listing AD first (including ******ation), but you should go with Seinfeld if you are truly not familiar with it (wtf). AD and CYE are both great though.

On a somewhat related note im on the last disc of the final season of Seinfield after having gone through them all. It's a sad feeling, like the show is ending again.

Oh F*CK! I meant that you should start with Season 4 of S if you insist on not starting at the beginning, not Season 3.

I don't get this humor. I can't relate to the characters nor the situations. The show is also too ADHD for me. If I wanted to be over stimulated, I'd do a line.

CYE needs more love. Sure, I used to love Seinfeld when it aired, but the humor has grown amateur in retrospect. It's like watching Married with Children now. Just doesn't age well (like Cheers or something).

Curb, however, is timeless. Never have I discovered a comedy series that led me to laugh out loud on as many occasions or that bore repeated viewings with such ease. No, I'm not Jewish. But I dig the humor.

I started watching season 1 and thought it was horrible. I almost gave up on the series because of it but I decided to keep going. When Larry put the orchestra on that guy's lawn I started cracking up and thought the show was great. I figured the show would keep getting funnier, which it did.

Although, some episodes you can tell they were just trying to think of the craziest predicaments they could put Larry in and it became a little contrived. But the good episodes greatly outweigh the bad ones.

I'm a huge AD fan and that clip was horrible. Don't let it discourage you.

Are you saying that Cheers ages well or does not age well? I think it ages well and it's not even close.

Loved Seinfeld, AD is awesome... CYE just seemed boring.

They're all great. One of my favorite things about seinfeld is that there are no episodes I don't want to watch. When I flip to a Simpsons re-run I'll sometimes watch it for 45 seconds and then realize I don't like the episode. That never happens to me with Seinfeld.

While I was personally ok with the Series Finale, I will accept people saying it sucked. Also the clip show. But other than that, I can't think of any other episode that wasn't good.

The Maid episode is like 10 mins in on Fox...and there's so many lines I've already lol'd at hard.

I'll say curb but whatever as far as order. This show is the nuts imo though, definitely give it a try.
