I'm sure they'd want prospects, most likely pitching ones. Probably centered around Hutchinson or Alvarez. If they want mlb-ready, idk if Cecil is good enough, or if Drabek is touchable. Considering Alvarez has been in the mlb for a couple weeks now, I'd say there's pretty much no chance they don't ask for him.
$30MM over 2 years is pretty cheap for what he's done in these last couple years so it would be an excessive package of prospects.
I figured he was just at one of those theoretical innings ceiling things. When he started sucking, he was right around the same number of innings pitched that he had last year.
Not to Debbie Downer, but he was definitely facing the bench yesterday with Grandy, Tex and Jeter not playing.
Well, Granderson is 2/16 vs Morrow (1 single, 1 double) with 10 K for a .521 OPS. Jeter is 4/22 (3 singles, 1 double) with 10 K as well for a .477 OPS.
Teixeira though is 6/21 with only 4 K for a .905 OPS.
