The So-Man

He's 40 years old? I know Japanese players are older but I had no idea he was that old.

Reyes, Boggs, Welly. These are the players I hope to never see on the field come playoff time. Seriously Reyes tilts me so much, you're a professional pitcher and you managed to miss the plate about 16 consecutive times. I don't remember high school pitchers being that bad but I guess being able to hit 80 mph and being left handed basically guarantees you a spot on an mlb roster. It's not that hard to throw strikes.

Replay shows the catcher never even came close to coming out of his crouch.
I also liked how he managed to get an entire segment on Derek Jeter into a cards cubs game.

Is this Schumaker in CF just a one time thing or LaRussa overreacting to Schumaker having some small miscues lately? Also Ankiel and Rasmus have been struggling.

I think it is more that Skip has been red-hot with the bat (17-30).

Great to see DeRosa starting to drive the ball.

I think TLR gets bored and sometimes does things just to do things

What, you haven't seen the "Lineup dartboard" he and Dunc use each night to fill out the card?

A team that is going to clinch a playoff spot tonight should not have their thread on page 2.

How about Clutch tearing up the basepaths with 9 steals this year, tying the Redbird record. You know he's gonna juice it up one of these days here and go for 10.

last time I checked, Russell Martin was the only catcher ahead of him in steals, with 10. It would be hilarious if he ended up leading the league.
