Yeah I caught the end of it, I didn't realize just how bad Joe Buck's call was on the DeSean punt return since I wasn't listening to the PBP when it happened, but good lord it was awful. Not that I should have expected anything different I suppose.

I wonder if they found a diamond in the rough with Jamar Chaney. Brian Baldinger had glowing praise of the guy on DNL today. Baldie gets a little carried away with hyperbole sometimes but he actually watches the coaches tape and breaks down games. Tommie Lawler said the same thing in his game review of the Giants game.

Chaney looked good for sure but Baldinger always seems to fellate himself over performances of players from his former teams, including the Cowboys.

Yea Baldi gets a little too hyped sometimes, I was impressed by Chaney but I heard Baldi say on the radio that "Chaney is the best MLB Reid has ever had with the Eagles, even better than Trotter". That seems a bit premature, but hey maybe he will end up being right.

I think it was the right call when it was made. I don't think it would've been cancelled if it were a 1pm game with the same snow scenario (i.e. move the storm up 7-8 hrs.) since public transportation would be much more accessible.

I'd much rather they be playing tomorrow night.

It sucks for the Eagles. I'm pissed about it.

I dk what was predicted for Philly and what they actually got, but the same storm hit here. I can say that if the game were local to where I am in NY, I wouldn't be able to go because of the storm. There's over a foot of snow, 40 mph winds, and my lot/some roads haven't been plowed. I was out earlier and got stuck a few times.

I think it was definitely the right call to not play the game today. It's probably going to take at least a day to get all of the snow out of the stadium so I'm guessing that was the holdup as far as playing on Monday.

Rendell ripped Nutter for calling a state of emergency, which in turn kind of forces the Eagles to call the game. He said things like it was "ridiculous" to call the game, and "Vince Lombardi is turning over in his grave".

He was way out of line imo, I live about 6 miles from the stadium and can say that I wouldnt have ventured out to go to that game.

eagles prob asked nfl to delay and nfl said tuesday - don't want saints/falcons + eagles going across from each other b/c those are two of their biggest ratings draws

Somebody tell me who to cheer for tonight.

It seems like there's no possible way Atlanta would lose to Carolina next week if they needed to win, so I'm assuming the 1 seed is out of play. All things considered, I'd much rather the Saints not make the playoffs, and they do have a losable game next week too in TB.

I don't really knoow how I feel between NYG/GB/NO/TB. I guess my preference is

GB
NO

TB being the team I'd most like to see in the playoffs and NO being the least. So if that's true, I'm assuming we cheer for ATL tonight? I'm confused.

In terms of the playoffs/superbowl my thought is that we're best suited to play against teams with weaker defenses. If you think about the tougher games this years it's against teams like the Bears, the Giants and the Packers. Packers scare the **** out of me, I'd really love to avoid them. If we were to make the superbowl, I honestly wouldn't mind getting the Patriots. I think Vick absolutely torches them and it's up to Brady to keep up. I'd be much more afraid of the Steelers or Ravens.
