Doubting if Franklin can ever get us to elite status but this season was already pretty clearly looking to be the low point of the decade for the strength of our team, and that was before we lost all three starting LBs.

Next two games are huge for the trajectory of the season--definitely both still winnable. We're -3 against a 3-0 Gopher team on Saturday.
Not weird - just decades of hearing the BS coming from the cult. My family is from that area, it was nauseating. You are right - Franklin has no chance. But again, until this year your fan base told everyone that you were back because he was superior - while everyone else knew better.

But the worst is your fandom deciding to honor the pedophile and no-one seems to care from your side - classy.

You are right - losing players to injury sucks. But isn't that the coaches job to get 2-3 deep? I thought your staff were great recruiters? If he can't do that then I guess hopefully looking forward to potential wins against Minn and Maryland is all you strive for.

Except, you know, the students.

And the faculty.

And most people who actually live here. But you wouldn't know that. The hyperbole makes for some great posting though.

You are right I don't live there - but family does. All I see is an admin that sanctioned it, a LARGE group of people moving to re-erect the statue, and and outpouring of game day support for the enabler. What else are casual fans supposed to think?

Idk about a large contingent wanting to rebuild the statue but I totally understand where you're coming from. PSU has a long way to go both on and off the football field. Sadly the inept university administration, a very vocal and influential group of alumni (big time donors), and random central PA Trump voters who probably didn't even attend PSU continue to make a complete embarrassment of what I still consider an otherwise very good institution. I was proud to see the signatures of many of my favorite professors from undergrad on the editorial linked above.

Totally agree - the big State College money folks and the school Administration that cowers to them are doing you and the other responsible PSU'ers a disservice. I don't know how that turns around - but until it does all the great things about the school will be overshadowed by first the appalling acts, and now the acceptance of the crimes in the once proud PSU community.

Sadly they either didn't branch out to other colleges or professors in other colleges weren't interested in signing it. There was only 1 science based professor I saw on the list. Didn't see any business professors

Franklin is a ****ing moron. Absolutely pathetic display of coaching in that first half.

Never a dull moment. Nice win for the Lions. They win again in spite of Franklin.

Happy for the win but wow they literally had one running play drawn up for the whole game... at least it finally worked on the final play of the game.

Game balls for McSorley, Barkley, and the Defense for their incredible performance all things considered.

With super weak road schedule, 8 wins is on the table.

The lions finally looked like a football team today. They still had some issues tackling. And I have no idea why screens always work against us but never for us. Obviously OSU is going to curb stomp this team, but the Lions are capable of winning every other game on the schedule. Of course, I don't think that happens. 8-4 is on the table, but 7-5 is real possibility losing to OSU, @Indiana, and splitting with MSU/Iowa.

CJF is very likely to make a bowl now and I don't think he'll get fired this year. Next year he needs to get 9 wins though.
