I predicted 8-4 before the season and that included a loss against either UCONN or ND. It's not entirely dumb now to think of what the team can do if they get past ND. They will struggle against better defenses and lose games in the Big 10 obv. But it's not inconceivable to think they can win two of four against MSU, Iowa, Wis (all at home) and at PSU and be at 8-3 going into Columbus. 11-0 OSU against 8-3 Michigan with Robinson is one of the best games of the year on the CFB schedule and that's exciting too. We, and by association you, matter more again.
I definitely can understand the case for Shoelace. He seems like the kind of guy you want on your team. He's super hard working, doesn't seem to have a big ego, and just puts everything out there for your team. Pretty much the exact opposite of Tate. I was very impressed with how much his throwing improved because he was lolbad last year. Tate is a world class ********** and rooting against him was super easy.

Winning 2 of those 4 is definitely doable. It might even be likely.

As for Costa Rica- wasn't there for a stars event, was there for a different tourney I won my way to. We were pretty close to the airport in San Jose. Zip line was pretty damn awesome, probably the highlight of the trip. There was someone else at the hotel from Youngstown that was a big Buckeye fan, so me and her went and found the TV and were desperately hoping the game would be on. They got NYC ABC channel, and it had it. Sadly I missed one of the best UM-tOSU games back in 2004 as I was on a flight to Australia for work. I left Friday afternoon, got in Sunday morning local time just after the game ended. I had the guy who picked me up take me to the office first so I could check the score. I didn't expect much of a game, but was shocked to see Troy Smith lit them up and crushed them. I really need to avoid being out of the country for the game.

Nice info. I was checking over the injury reports for both teams and didn't see him listed but just assumed since it happened awhile ago that he was still out. Def a little more impressed now.

i can't imagine a howland team as a fave vs. harding. although i think we beat you once. in basketball. 15 years ago.
about 10 years ago when my brother played, harding was up 32-0 before howland scored i think. harding's coach (bubba) actually came over and asked me if i could get my group of friends to 'leave those poor kids alone a little bit' hahahaha...

but yeah, howland's rb is supposed to be really, really good, and harding had trouble with cleveland shaw in week 1. really sad how far this coaching staff has set them back.

level? Michigan's OL has long been considered the offense's strength coming into this year.

Obviously they were supposed to be strong but they looked impressive even for expectations.

Your expectations were probably off because the line was pretty bad after Molk went down.. They got 10 yards+ downfield all the time sat, it was crazy.

if i were not an ohio state fan, i think i'd still root for bama and osu to go 12-0 to keep boise out of the tittle game anyway.

I'm a Michigan fan and if I toss aside November 27 I'm completely with you in that opinion.

I don't understand why. Boise St is for real imo. If I had to pick the two best teams in the nation right now, I would go with Ohio State and them.

I don't give 2 ****s about Boise St. I want an 8 team playoff and I think three 12-0 teams would be a nice step in that direction. Obv if Boise/OSU/Bama go undefeated the non power conference school is getting left out. That was my point.

fyp

why even have BCS conferences?

As good as Boise looked in the first quarter I am not sold on them as a possible #1 team. If you put them in the SEC, Big 12 or the Big Ten would they even be favored to win those conferences? If the answer is no, or even maybe, how can we rank them ahead of teams that we think will win them? That goes for TCU as well. BCS game teams - probably. National Championship game - no way.

I think they had to do that so the existing bowls were guarenteed to get teams from power conferences - teams that traveled well.

This is part of why we need a playoff. I would be all for Boise State participating in an 8-team playoff if they run the table. Letting them play for a MNC with their schedule would be a travesty, though. I don't care if they've won 100 in a row. This season and this season and their schedule is a joke. Sure, they're handicapped by their conference but it is what it is. Their weaksauce conference schedule shouldn't wind up becoming a handicap for whatever team gets left out of the MNC if Boise makes it in. Boise State's non-conference opponents would need to be at minimum a top 10 team, two other top 25s, and some middling BCS conference school before their schedule could even begin to approach something respectable.

Take some solace that he is half Longhorn being raised in Texas. It's going to be a tricky indoctrination, but I definitely have more influence when it comes to football related things than the wife.

haha. osu fans reproduce well imo. there isn't much else to do in ohio besides bang.

ps just saw the word "cuckhold" for the first time yesterday. had to use the interwebs to look it up. weird how it always seems to work out where i learn a new word and then it feels like i see it everywhere. happened w/ "usurp" - the day after i first heard this word, it was on '24'

in ohio, this isn't a given. i know plenty of osu chicks that are way into football and wouldn't have their child raised any other way.

anyone hear The Rock talking the smack re: Canes vs OSU?

Same phenomenon seems to happen to me too. Also, I plan on using the word "usurp" a lot on Nov 27.

Beat the kid using a paddle with the longhorn logo on it and feed him candy whenever you're wearing an Ohio State shirt. That should do the trick. Classical conditioning ftw imo.
