It was clearly going to cost him millions to stay, just from the assumed (slight at the time) draft position drop from last year to this year and one less season of NBA salary, endorsements etc. It would've cost him millions even if he went 5th this year.

This isn't always true, but for Sullinger yes. The real money in the NBA is the later contracts and you don't make the big time by riding the pine then being cut at age 23. If he improves his chances of staying in the league by playing in college another year, short term loss of a year of salary is worth it. But for Sullinger, seems less of a possibility whereas borderline players it makes more sense.

Endorsement money- again depends on if he makes a big face for himself in college, he might be able to ride that better than if he is some nobody in the NBA. Although not sure how that will work out for him anyway. He wins the title at Ohio State, his endorsement chances go up a ton compared to playing on a crap NBA team for a season. Where he finished this year, probably neutral.

Arrest count at 3 and he hasn't even coached a game yet! Always nice to have your starting middle linebacker charged with assault and domestic violence!

This train wreck is gonna be fun to watch. Can't hide behind saint Tebow and the lol southern media anymore brah.

LOL @ blaming Urbz.

Kicked his ass off the team too. More playing time for someone who can win RANGZ.

Not Storm's first rodeo with domestic violence- http://www.calesariclaw.com/CM/Artic...ys-Parents.asp

LOL @ the guy who just got rid of the coach that won like 6 games in 3 years calling a future run of multiple titles a trainwreck. I'd be scared too, tho.

Also, oh noes, some guys be pissing outside!

Tough to troll complete idiocy. Not surprising there are a few boneheads on a football team.

Really weird news coming down on twitter about it. First post shows some minor traffic ticket, but then other people commenting that this is something new and won't tell any more details. Love how they won't say any details. It's gotta be something unusual or weird. Hopefully Rod Smith has been practicing holding onto the ball.

I think he tried to roll a stop sign and ended up stopping in a cross walk when he nearly hit a cop car.

But besides that, black people.

Urban is really serious about discipline guys

Apparently getting pulled over with visible marijuana in the car is not at odds with Urban's 'core values' therefore no consequences

Possession of < 1 oz in Ohio is a minor misdemeanor punishable by a $100 fine. They don't even arrest you, you just get a ticket. He'll probably pay more for the busted taillight.

Yeah huh. In Ann Arbor it's a 50 ticket, yet michigan still suspends you for a game for the first offense, a season for the second.

They dropped the charges besides the taillight and moving violation on him. But good thing Dr. Ikes knows more than the cops!

His mom said it was hers. No way to know who is telling the truth. Oh well, suspend him for a game anyway! That's the Michigan Way!
