Ah, hold on a second. We've had two wild games cumulatively decided by seven points. If both games had swung our way, you wouldn't be writing the above post. It follows that you shouldn't be writing it if only one (or none) of those two games breaks our way. Really, the last two weeks have been all variance.
And then, there is a rough with a smooth thing that you have to consider when you assess the play of the offense. All of the skill position players have progressed hugely relative to last year; the offensive line is playing so much better; the range of play calling is so much more diverse and effective. Evidently, the guy can coach an offense. Evidently he can recruit.
I'll agree that evidently he knows **** all about defensive play and makes questionable decisions in terms of clock management and overall strategy. But this team is better than it was last year, which was a better team than the year before. I feel like the last two weeks don't offer any definitive reason to keep
or fire him. If he is to go, it is for bigger picture stuff far above and beyond these two mad ****ing games.
