Epic multi-poasting.

Christ HB looks good. Can't wait to have him for one or two games before he stress-fractures his foot/breaks both ankles/etc.

This is a interesting theory.

The possibility that its a valid theory is very small.

I deal with sports injuries/performance 60+ hours a week. Jordan brand shoes are on tons of weekend warriors all the way up to elite athletes all over the world.

The team does not have a exclusive shoe, they have standard issue shoes with exclusive Team Carolina colorway.

If Jordan brand shoes had a design flaw that increased the amount of foot fractures or ankle injuries. The sports med., physical med., pt and training professions: would see a huge amount of foot fractures all over the world that could be directly linked to Jordan shoes. The fact is it just isn't happening.

These problems are overuse, mechanical, and limitation injuries.

I actually have a theory on why these injuries are happening to the team, but I am doing more research in my spare time to confirm it.

It's kind of weird to say, but something about him just looks like a Carolina player for the ages.

Interesting. So you think it's the type of exercises they do in practice?

Exactly.

I actually think it might be more of a S&C drill problem, rather than practice exercises or drills. The Kansas S&C coach came to UNC in 2005, I've been trying to see if they have had as many problems at KU from 99-04 when he was there.

I have also considered that Marc Davis left the Head Training position after 30 years in 08, a change in injury management can actually cause more problems.
I think the bad luck with ankles and feet started though before he left.

Whenever you feel like it, please to be poasting your findings. I've been flabbergasted by the amount of foot/ankle injuries the last four years. It's really abnormal.

Very nice campus. Think it will be better if I come during the spring or early summer. I'm guessing like the school I went to undergrad to the hot chicks were hiding.......or it was really cold and they were overdressed. The talent was poor out today IMO but it was bitterly cold.

Duke campus is quite small (expected) but looks a lot like Princeton's campus to me. Didn't even stop through due to the fact that I hate the school and it was still bitterly cold.

The B-school where I will be applying to is quite isolated but near the dean dome. And there was no where to park today, had to goto the Hospital parking and walk. I guess busses are pretty big on campus for moving around.

Also saw goofy ass Tyler Zeller during my walk. He looks pretty damn big but super skinny.

hopefully all 3 are ready to contribute on day 1 cause will need em.

Expected lineup next year IMO:

PG: LDII / Marshall (could start after December IMO)
SG: Strickland / Bullock / McDonald
SF: Barnes / Graves (he's a senior but whatever) / Mcdonald
PF: Henson / Wear
C: Zeller / Wear (ed will start at the 5 if he's back IMO...but big if)

If Ed stays we could be very good. If he doesn't..............maybe top 15 team...top 10 at the end of the year. If Barnes is the next big thing...maybe better. I have little confidence in our front line next year without Ed. A ton of length but no size until McAdoo shows up in the season after.

I live about 25 min from kinston, mad at myself for never making it down to see Bullock play, just never had the time.

I went to the business school, but it was before they built the new building. Old one was in the middle of campus. Yeah it looks like a hike, but I went in the new one once and it looked pretty sweet. I used a bike for getting around.

He should be playing in Bethel tonight at North Pitt. Right by Gville.

The only reason I know this is I have to roll through Pitt County Memorial next week on my way to Wake Med. I asked my buddy who is on staff there if we could go check out the Bullock kid in Kinston and he told me the last game was tonight the 12th.

nice thread title change imo

lol ... Ed Davis out for the year. the cursed year of UNC basketball continues.

we'll just have to be patient until the 2011/2012 season when we make our next FF.

Yep, and the J-school took over that building when the B-school relocated next to the DES.

Brutal about Ed but he hasn't been great playing hurt. Hopefully he will be back now we could really use him next season. Maybe he'll be more cheerful with next years team. God this season has been embarrasimgly brutal. I hate to whine after so many good seasons. Whatever, roy better start playing the freshman more.
02-12-2010 , 12:53 PM
Um we're not gonna make the NIT
02-12-2010 , 12:53 PM
time to put all eggs in the ACC Tournament basket!
02-12-2010 , 12:56 PM
Davis is gone. kid isn't going to walk away a second time from a lottery selection nor should he.

that is one reason i'm stressing the 2011/2012 season and not next season.
02-12-2010 , 01:05 PM
he could have gone last year, didn't. maybe he will just stay longer...will have to see. mcadoo will be a freshman that year and HB is not guaranteed to stay more than a year (hopefully he will).
02-12-2010 , 01:10 PM
i want him to come back like everyone else but it isn't in the cards.

UNC is at its best when they have juniors and seniors that have been in the system for many years. even if HB is one and done that 2011/2012 team is going to be stacked with players that have been in Roy's system for years. that is our next great team.
02-12-2010 , 01:22 PM
Can fball just arrive already so I can have something UNC to cheer about in 2010?
