One of the blogs actually had something interesting about Hughes and velocity today. Apparently, he went through the same issue at the beginning of April last year, but he was in extended spring training so no one cared. Then his arm strength was back by his first start on April 15.

This. 7 man rotation of CC, AJ, Nova, Garcia, Colon, Milwood, Silva ftw. Then every night you go 4 innings from your starter, then Robertson in the 5th, Hughes in the 6th, Joba in the 7th, Soriano in the 8th, and Mo in the 9th. We can shorten the game! The games will be so short it will be like they never happened!
