Ah, a little optimism in this thread.

I hope to see more of it.

That's because you have.
The team looked good last night.
Lets hope Ollie has "filthy" stuff on this nationally televised game today.

im more upset we didnt make a better offer than SF to randy than about not getting lowe

in happy news rich harden plunked jorge cantu right on the shoulder blade ( ) and the marlins lost in a comeback effort by the cubs

if ollie pitches well today that will help restore some faith in some fans

but he really need to pitch well .. not 3 runs in 6 innings well

pelfrey still has a 6 ERA and pitched .. ok yesterday. we really need our starters to pitch better if we expect to win

i think the hitters are going to get hot now .... i just hope the pitchers can do the same

i like that minaya made his "edge" comments and it seemed to upset the players. Of course he tried to retract them, but maybe they will be a motivator

Minaya may have unknowingly lit a fire under this team. Only time will tell. I hope Delgado can stay off the DL. At this point in the year it might be for the best. Plus Tatis has had a hot bat lately.

Delgado has had the same hip injury for the past two seasons. I thought that the hip injury caused last season's slow start for Delgado. Its a degenerative injury, so until he gets a new hip, he will never fully heal.

I am prepared for an ugly game today.

Both Pelfry and Maine have seemed a little off, but one get's the impression it's just a matter of time and either could return to form fairly soon.

But Ollie has been pretty far off from even his usual, inconsistent self. Maybe he just needs to make one adjustment and everything will be right; but I wouldn't be surprised if he struggles for half a season or even the whole season.

Yeah it might be. I'd rather him rest it now, if it'll make it feel better the rest of the season. In 92 plate appearances he's killing Moyer: .383/.457/.765/1.222

So if he doesn't start today it might be telling.

Excellent point. If Jerry doesnt play him today Carlito feels a bit more than banged up.

Well, let's see if ollie's great track record against the filthies holds up...

I'm still not sure how much to buy into Manuel's talk about him running out of chances, but we'll see.

it would be awesome if they could demote him to peanut guy for a week, but I'm guessing that's not in his contract. ****ing Boras.

i knew you were going to say that lol. it wasnt luck for the phils, perez has zero confidence on the mound and it shows

41 pitches was it?

what a moran swinging 3-1 there ... good break for us

the only thing lucky imo is that we got out of the inning with only 2 runs

the announcers are right though. No excuse for beltran not to back up the play. murphy should have kept the ball in front of him, but i suspect he feels pressure to make the big play.

Come on lets get those runs back to maybe give ollie a little confidence to shut these ****ers down

First two guys in the inning walk and Tatus responds by swinging at the first pitch.
