Figueroa back to Buffalo. I guess he couldn't find work elsewhere. Either that or the Mets promised to promote him after Ollie's next inevitable meltdown.

Freddy Garcia was released and I'm assuming will officially retire.

Yeah Figueroa accepted his assignment on like friday news is a bit old, but he basically coulnd't find a starters job anywhere else and saw how poorly the whole mets staff was pitching and jerry saying that the rotation has 1 more chance blah blah blah so he changed his mind

Figueroa did not accept his assignment after he went through waivers. He declared FA first and I guess couldn't find a better situation so he came back to the Mets.
