PFT confirms it.

Somebody has to take the fall for this season. Last season, it was Sheridan. This time, perhaps they'll fire Gilbride. Long time coming imo.

Perhaps a new ST coach should come in.

I'd settle for Matt Dodge

TC shouldn't be fired.

Although it does kind of suck that he is like 65, there will probably be a work stoppage, and there is a good chance we will miss the window on a guy like Cowher (3-4 warts and all).

if and only if cowher accepts you have to 100% hire him imo. its like if your lamar odom and your already banging khloe k and then all the sudden you can date kim. your happy with any kardashian since it equals rangz but youd rather have kim.

there are some things that annoy me from today's game re: coughlin and re: gilbride, but w/e.

i wonder what the giants do in the draft? lb and o-line seem to be the biggest needs. they also need a KR/PR, but that's obviously not a priority until the later rounds.

You are like bizarro unbearable homer.
lol

If anything I am the exact opposite of a homer. I am a pessimist who puts down his team instead of supports it, but really I'm just being honest. If I thought we were the best, I'd tell you.

HTF can Coughlin say that he's not going to make any changes to his coaching staff. You mean that special teams guy stays? Seriously?

Does this mean he changes on-field personnel? Something has gotta go...

I don't know, but I read somewhere that Coughlin said he doesn't anticipate making any changes to his coaching staff. I don't know how that's possible. I can understand not getting rid of Gilbride, as much as I hate him, my feeling about him is probably unreasonable (although perhaps the wide receivers coach needs to be improved, too many bad routes and drops into interceptions). But the special teams sucked from day 1 and were always at risk for blowing coverage. Hell, yet again they overran coverage on the big kick return Washington had yesterday.

Would you rather I jetto it up and tell you how awesome we are and how disappointed I am that this team didn't get a first rd bye?

Maybe I'm dumb but I don't see how you all honestly believe this team on paper is any better than what it did this season. 10-6 is actually better than I projected.

I don't even think they are awesome. You basically said the team isn't any good and can't compete at a top level because they don't have any superstars. The team is talented and should contend for deep playoff runs. That was my statement and it is perfectly reasonable.

Tyler,

Welcome to the NYG team thread! If you can't beat em, join em!

I never said they weren't "any good". Good is relative. Compared to the bottom tier teams they are pretty good. I do believe they can't compete at a top level and a lack of superstars certainly is a big reason.

In the NFL, its very hard to win without an elite QB. It can happen, but a lot of things have to be right, like a Burres that's always open and a Tiki forcing opponents to always defend the run.

When your best receiver is Nicks and best runner is Bradshaw(fumbles), Eli just isn't good enough, especially with our banged up o line.
I think this sums up my assessment of the team more or less.
