Chargers are basically a more error prone version of the Pats. they could be so good, and really are

I don't suppose anyone caught The West Wing reference there.

How many moons does Mars have?

Two. Phobos and Deimos, the two horses that pulled his chariot.

Get out!
And LOL at me for trying to explain to my girlfriend, who still doesn't grasp the whole "first down...second down..." thing, what a TE is, and how it's different from a WR, or "....you know, the small fast guys like OchoCinco, Wes Welker, and Dion Branch!"

Our safeties were not giving him good help today. There are very few corners who can lock down Jackson one on one. It's not like he had bad positioning, he just got out jumped a couple times.

When did that happen? I don't even remember him getting hurt. I can look it up myself but did you see any report on Arrington or Dowling?

Put me in the camp that is bearish on the Pats until the defense starts to show up a bit. They just gave up 2 consecutive ridiculous performances from opposing QBs, thankfully our QB is even more ridiculous. We've seen this movie before, and recently it has ended quite tragically. 16-0, 11-5, 14-2, who cares?

ouch, some reports say 4-6 weeks

either way, Im thankful it's not a season ender.

next 2 games are @ Buff and @ Buff, it's a good a time as any I suppose. hopefully he's back for the Jets game.

btw, we have 1 game + the tiebreaker on the Chargers, and 1 game on both the Steelers and Ravens. never to early to talk playoff seeds!!!

I know I'm the consumate homer but I heard the argument the other day on the hub that the "all offense" approach hasn't worked in the past either and they gave 07 as an example there as well. I think that's foolish.

07 was a pretty darn successful year. I mean, I hate it that they lost the SB and the 16-0 means pretty much jack **** to me because they didn't win the SB. But to make the jump to that team "didn't work" just because they got beat by a good team that matched up well with them in a close game that could have EASILY gone either way is a jump I'm not prepared to take. They went 18-1 that year. That team was a monster and likely one of the best of all time.

With about 11 minutes in the 4th, and he never came back on the field.

Center Dan Koppen and defensive tackle Myron Pryor will be placed on injured reserve later today to make room for two more players.

The Patriots have resigned defensive tackle Landon Cohen, and added former 49ers defensive back Phillip Adams.

UPDATE: Patriots have officially announced the moves.

Analysis

The loss of Koppen could be big, but the inspired play of Dan Connolly since moving over from right guard must have given the Patriots peace of mind to make the move and not wait two more months for Koppen to return.

Plus, having veteran standouts Logan Mankins and Brian Waters at both guards will definitely help Connolly play out the rest of the season.

I think Pryor is the bigger loss here. He was primed to have a big year. As far as Koppen, let's face it, for all the ball washing about Scarnecchia and Mankins and Vollmer, they still CAN"T RUN BLOCK!! they do a good job of protecting Brady, but how many 3rd and 1's have resulted in negative yards over the last 5 years? Maybe they throw too much. Whenever they have a nice running play, i start yelling at the tv "run again! run again!" but they never do.

well pryors injury could be a blessing in disguise, allowing more pt for haynesworth. hes only been on the field for 53 plays out of a possible 149. have any of you heard anything as to why he hasnt hit the field more? i found it especially strange that he wasnt on the field more against the chargers
