And one more:

Gronk absolutely manhandling Mario Williams on Dion Lewis' 1st Q TD.

Dear Jimmy Graham fans - your boy can't do that in his dreams.

@DEN still going to be a very tough game. an even tougher place to play than Buffalo, and they are better on both defense and offense than Buffalo. Even with the Washington Wizards version of Peyton, it's a solid team b/c of all the defensive talent. though Peyton should have been picked off 4 times vs the Chiefs

Go cry about the defense like you did in the AFC East thread you Charmin soft piece of ****. Lol at getting exhausted from watching your football team take everyone to pound town every week.

Im loving some of the goalline plays we have been calling this year. That formation they keep running down there, which motions and isolates one TE to the right (Williams I think?) , and then Gronk and Chandler out to the other side. Those plays are for the most part unstoppable right now.
I think Lewis is a great example of why paying for running backs is always dumb. Has to stop the fumbling, but he's the quickest/most elusive back BB/Brady has had.

That formation is great in the red zone, got Chandler two easy TD looks.

One guy on the defense who I think is going to lose his role pretty quickly is Fletcher. Brown has been fine, Butler makes some inexperience based mistakes (gave up a score looking for the ball rather than the man yesterday), but the talent is definitely there. Safeties have been fine. Fletcher has just been bad though, lost snaps to Ryan yesterday and I think he might get bounced for Justin Coleman at some point.

Defensive line has to clean up some of the contain/edge setting issues, but every BB team but the 2002 squad more or less figured that out so not worried about it yet. Was nice to see some pressure in passing situations yet.

Brady is going to end up with something stupid for his first four games like 1700 yards 15 TD/0 INT isn't he? Lol Goodell

Danny Woodhead? His numbers were pretty sick with us. But yeah Lewis is the proud continuation of the Kevin Faulk/Danny Woodhead/Shane Vareen line, I was surprised this didn't end up being James White this year, but it still could end up that way

basically as long as Brady / Gronk / Edelman stay healthy, this offense is going to GOAT it up, obviously in that order of importance. The Oline is going to remain solid; they are still playing without 2 projected starters so their depth should give them season long stability unless they get super unlucky wrt injuries. Dobson looks like he might be able to hold the fort until Lafell comes back, and Chandler is all they need, a credible threat. it took a little while last season for them to find their groove, I think largely bc Gronk was being held back, but now they have that from the jump

We haven't even seen what Cadet can do in that role. I'm still kind of surprised we're carrying 3 backs with the same kind of role.

Yeah, I think Lewis is quicker and more elusive than Woodhead. Whether he turns out to be as reliable or consistent is still a question, he's put the ball on the ground twice in two games, but I think Lewis is more elusive.

Agreed. I think they might try to get White through to the practice squad at some point as injuries/needs arise.

evidence that the type of offense they ran vs. the Bills was not just a matchup thing, but rather what they are just going to roll with weekly?

They had a pretty good power running game last year in certain circumstances, and having 4 TE's available should suggest they are not likely to abandon that completely.

I think they liked White but were not 100% sure he could handle the job so they went out and got Cadet as well. Then Lewis probably surprised them and now they like all 3 and don't want to risk losing 1 of them.

Denver's D looks fast but aren't their LB's kind of small? Might get a steady diet of Blount in that one, especially since the Denver offense isn't really quick strike anymore.

about the only time I'd rather see the "steady diet of Blount" offense is the vs. Indy scenario where we are literally running for 4 or 5 yards every time. the Denver run defense is much stronger than that

just think when you have a passing offense like we ran yesterday, I'd much rather see them try that.

If you haven't watched Rex Ryan's postgame speech yet, take 5 minutes and watch it. This guy is tilted and hilarious...but I think it also highlights some of Rex's weaknesses.

HERE

When asked about replacing the LB covering Dion Lewis with a CB, Rex replied, "Well, what was I gonna do? Play 50 of them and then they can run the ball down your throat...So nah we will save that adjustment for some other genius."

A couple other ridiculous quotes as well.

I just can't imagine going to your team after a football game and telling them, "We lost because I got outcoached. You guys can't win unless I get better."

Sure you take the blame for yourself, but you take the responsiblity from the players. There are so many guys actually playing on the field that all made so many mistakes. It's not like they all just executed perfectly Rex's plan and they gave up 500 yards.

Apparently that play is legal. But there is no doubt it's deceptive.

Let's not forget that the Pats formation last year was also completely legal. But that didn't stop Harbaugh from crying a river and making a federal case about it.

I think its legal because they had a OT split out and not a player with an eligible number reporting ineligible but in essence its the same kind of deception and pretty much the same play.

Atleast with the Pats play the ref would point out that Vereen was Ineligible and not to cover him. In this play they likely dont point anything out.

There are probably some pools of your size that already have a winner.

Even mine tops yours

2/20 = 10% left

In mine, it's 18/219 = 9.22% left

Of course, you're still alive in yours and I am not in mine.

Yup, <10% beats me. Of course, the only way mine could go <10% would be for it to be all over by now.

Yeah, new rule says if eligible numbered player reports as ineligible, he has to line up in the tackle box. Ravens met the new rule. No one needed to report on the play, everyone's number corresponded to their eligibility, they just lined up differently. Complete breakdown here:

I told my friend early in the game Sunday, "I'm calling it now: 16-0." He thinks I'm nuts or a homer, of course. TIL there are other nutty homers:

Gillette came out with the Mach3, an unprecedented three-blade razor.

Schick responded with the Quattro, four blades.

The Onion wrote a piece titled "Gillette: '**** it, we're going to five!'"

Then Gillette actually DID go to five!

Can't wait till BB says "**** it!" and sends in a fifth TE.
