Reusse & Mackey were discussing the possibility of chilly being on the hot seat today. I dont know if either of them has any insight, but its good that the possibility of Zygi firing chilly is being publicly discussed by the media now. Hopefully that ball keeps rolling.

As for our QB situation, I dont even know how to feel about this whole thing. I'm sad that Favre has been so bad so far, and as much as I would like to see the Vikes do well, I don't think TJ is going to help (assuming he does play). Worst case scenario is probably what I expect to see from TJ - more ineptitude, but that might lead to chilly getting fired, so that would make me happy. I will cheer for TJ if he plays and somehow plays well though.

i've always been a TJ hater but a couple more years and a couple more weapons can do wonders for a QB, so i'm open-minded about his current potential.

too bad the oline sucks

biggest difference between this yr and last yr is the oline. Last yr we were doing well at pass protection, favre had time and did well. This year we've been bad and Favre's been bad. Give Favre a clean pocket and he's good, give a 41yr old QB a heavy pass rush in his face and hes bad.

I'm pretty much indifferent. I've more or less given up on '09 Favre returning. It was always unlikely, but 6 weeks of incompetence makes it seem unpossible.

Best case: TJax leads us to glory.
2nd best(much more likely): everything falls apart and we get a new coach
Worst case: We finish 8-8 (with whoever at QB), the lockout happens next season and in 2012 I have to continue watching Childress coach.

I do think having a more mobile QB could help right now.

omg if childress is on the team past 2012 im going to wish the world actually ends in 2012. The only thing that sucks was watching piece on SNF about his son in afganistan humanized him a little because all i want to do is HATE HATE HATE on chilly.

my perception has been that the o-line has been average-to-good - besides RB's assignment pickups - and that favre just refuses to throw the ball away when people are covered. are there any stats sites that have average time in the pocket before having to throw or something?

I'm apathetic to this whole right now. I dont really care who plays. I just want to see what happens. Hopefully it isnt SL's worst case scenario of us finishing with a mediocre record that isnt bad enough to get chilly fired.

my presumption (read: hope) is tjax is playing but chilly's trying to pull a B.B. and make it indeterminable until game time so pats have less certainty in strat prep. though i'm sure they'll be able to deal with either qb lulz.
