also, after rereading, it appears that you are now offering only 11-1. i demand 12-1 (ship me 10+120=130 total) in the event i win, i or simply return the 10 as cancellation.

According to my Uncle who works in construction the new Vikings stadium is a done deal. Same people that built Target Field will build the new stadium. Obviously take this for what it is worth just thought I would pass it along.

What?

So even thought funding hasn't even been appropriated somehow a company got awarded the contract even though proposals haven't even been submitted?

Yea, sounds believable.

Not that I don't believe it will happen, and the same company may get the contract, but your statement is akin to putting the cart 100 miles ahead of the horse.

Whenever they talk about building a billion dollar stadiium with racino money...

I mean Canterbury already has poker and pit games so all they'd be doing is adding slot machines. And there's already slot machines 3 miles away at Mystic Lake which I heard on KFAN was the casino with the second largest collection of slots in the country. Slots must make a TON of money if the tax collected on the profits from them is enough to build a stadium and still make it worth it to buy the things, build a building to put them in, and operate and maintain them all with extreme competition.

Assuming you live southwest, it would add about 10 minutes to your trip.

Yeah.

And I think its quite obvious that this is not even remotely a "done deal". I hope it gets done, but we have a loooong ways to go. I think the detective's uncle was doing some wishful thinking.

i'm sandwiched between downtown and uptown so quick easy access to the two current stadiums makes it simple to go to a game, get drunk do whatever and go home...that becomes a huge pain in the ass if they stick it out at that munitions spot

im so sick of hearing that the team has improved since he got there as chillys argument that hes a good coach, when everything weve done over the years was in spite of him.

Of course he's going to defend himself. Anyone else defending him is completely clueless. If he wants to talk about record only, here are some numbers to chew on:

Mike Tice, a below average NFL head coach, took over a 5-11 team and went 32-32. His record vs Green Bay was 5-3. He had the worst support in the NFL from ownership as far as financial commitments to players and the coaching staff. He was fired after going 9-7 in 2004.

chilly took over a 9-7 team and went 6-10 his 1st season. After receiving as much financial help from his owner for his players and assistant coaches as any team in the league, he managed to go 39-35 in his career. He was 3-7 vs Green Bay.

Those facts suggest that Tice was a lot better coach than chilly.

We all know how bad chilly sucked. You're right - we know the team is as "well" off (lol well - 3-7 with ~10 pro bowlers) now as it is in spite of him.

chilly took over a 9-7 team

He also had new ownership = we will now spend money, chilly was first vikes HC to expierence these benefits.

6-10
8-8
10-6
12-4
3-7
______
39-35 overall record. 52.7% win.. Worse than 9-7 (56.2%)

chilly didnt even improve team. Favre god-moded 1 yr and even w/ that chilly couldnt improve the overall win % during his 4.5 yr stay.

More like, whenever the team did well you said it was because of the players, and when we did poorly, it was because of the coach.

We improved every year of my tenure until this year. I understand the disappointment this seasons as the team was much better than our record indicated at the time of my firing; this has already been demonstrated by the team winning despite being coached by a man who has interviewed for seven head coaching positions and not gotten a job.

In one sense I am really happy to see TJAX owning fools, in another I am depressed because this is what the season would have been like if Chilly and Favre didn't **** everything up.

I wonder if Joe Webb gets some QB snaps? I kind of hope so, but I understand why he wouldn't. Albert Young definitely needs to play alot in the 2nd half and AP needs to sit.

I don't want to waste them in a 31-7 game, but I'd love to see some Joe Webb trick plays.

Why, so he is healthy for the playoffs?

yes, thats why, he's satisfied the "give the fans their $$$ worth" and the "justify my next contract" as well as, for the romantics, "securing a win." What possible reason could there be for running him a bunch in the 2nd half?

with the bears winning this week, i will now concede that the vikings playoff chances are virtually zero, even if they win out.

I'm not saying you have to give him 15 2nd half carries, but if we're saving him for th decade we may as well sit him for the rest of the season.
