Imagine if we had another star that could play like Beasley did tonight and Kevin could play "2nd fiddle"...Two studs with Ricky and enough role players...

i think we're a kevin martin or a healthy eric gordon away from being a top 3-4 seed in the west.

i had really high hopes for pek coming out of the euro leagues and he gave us next to nothing last year, but he has been a good center for us so far this year, and a monster on the offensive boards.

he's at least good enough for us to not have a huge hole there like i thought we had(well we did with milolicic)

lol you have any idea how deep this draft is? It's like 1.75 drafts in one, there will def be value at the end of the lottery. Still I have inside info that Love's ACLs are not going to last long now that he signed that deal

Pek

We'll have lots of options for trades & FAs in the next several months. It should be interesting to see what happens. I do not think Kahn is the one evaluating talent anymore

Its going to be fun when both the Wolves & Utah make the playoffs, and we get Utah's pick, and the pick we traded for Jaric is lower than the pick we get from Utah

That might be far fetched, but it doesnt seem impossible right now

10-11 for the month of December. before season i think i looked at sched and said we needed to go 11-10 or 10-11 to stay in playoff hunt. so far so good

I want Luke to be the backup PG and play less minutes at the 2, somehow. I want Darko to remain in illness exile. I want us to play alot of games like we did tonight!
All of this.

Start Webster immediately imo. Ridnour is good and we can still run the two PG thing sometimes but A) I want Rubio with the ball, and B) Rubio and Webster give us great size in the backcourt and is a big defensive upgrade.

Wes and Ellington can fight over minutes, until JJ comes back I guess.

I don't like totally giving up on Wes, he still has some great tools, but he's so lost out there now he probably should sit for awhile and shoot 500 threes a day.

Oh, and more Randolph

Our schedule is out of balance. atm, we've played 3 more home games than road games. And 5 of our next 7 are at home:

vs IND, @ NJ, vs HOU, vs SAC, @ MEM, vs DAL, vs NYK

We do have the 3rd best road record in the West tho.

Indiana's is way worse. They've only had 6 home games this year. And are still 13-6 on the season.

are we all giving up on wes johnson?

think u gotta give him minutes to up his trade value, maybe hide him vs opposing 2nd units so his #s look better, but yeah, if we can even get a late 1st sometime in the next 2 years for him it'd be a snapcall

The Timberwolves have five road wins, already matching their total in each of the previous two seasons.

Wes probably has negative trade value right now. I dont think his trade value is going to go up by playing him either. I think he just cant play. His best position is glued to the bench imo.

Are you guys noticing that Love cares about stats *this year*? I agree watching him last year it seemed he was. But, you do remember the team was just abysmal last year with a coach that no one respected (I assume) that repeatedly benched him at the beginning of the season.

I'm not saying gunning for stats last year was the right "team" move, but, I'm pretty sure it's what I would have done on such a crappy team with my contract extension coming up for the next year.

Stats seemed to be the only way he'd get noticed because he had a coach who kept benching him and not telling him why. Rambis had no idea how good Love was until 31/31 and even then he kept benching him for no apparent reason. When he would bench Love, he would not even say a word to Love when Love would ask why.

I got tickets to the Indiana game tomorrow night and bringin' Cha59 with me. Hopefully the Wolves can put together another solid full game - b/c it's going to be necessary, I don't think Indiana takes too many games off.

C'mon .500 baby!

Indiana is good, but if we play the way we're capable, we can beat anyone. I wish we were a bit more consistent. We are getting deeper as guys get healthy.

If Beasley can be "good Beasley" and play somewhat smart all the time from now on, we're going to be very good. Webster should help a lot too. Barea should give us a boost if he can ever get back to 100%. Malcolm Lee probably isnt too far from being able to play too. Wes has had enough rope to hang himself imo. We dont need him at all anymore.

Pek looks like he can provide some solid minutes at C both offensively and defensively - I read some stuff today that says his stats so far this year compare favorably to Gortat (very good). He seems to be learning a little about not fouling quite so often. If he can get a lot better at that, he could be a stud. I remember the last time I saw Pek vs Indiana - Hibbert kept lowering his shoulder trying to push Pek out of the way - he might as well have been pushing against a brick wall

Maybe Pek doing so well will light a fire under Darko's lazy ass, but probably not. Miller has a lot of rust on him, but at least he doesnt make stupid mistakes and is a big body.

Big game tomorrow - .500 time!!

the pacers are a talented team. granger/collison/george/hibbert/hill/west are formidable.

they're basically a better version of us right now- a young team that is very talented at multiple positions.

it should be a good game to watch imo.
