Zgoda has mentioned a few times the team is looking at point guards still as well. "sources" and all, so take it with a grain of salt. Seems like with all of the pre draft buzz and the stacking of bigs that a trade might be in the Wolves future still(just my thoughts).

we definitely need more wing help. Dunn inspired some confidence in me that he can play some off ball this year. I was pretty skeptical when Thibs said him and Rubio could play together.

Seems reasonable but that's probably a bottom 30% outcome for us imo. Think we can finish ahead of Dallas or Memphis pretty easily

It's clear the west has fallen off hard, 4-10 are roughly equal.

TWolves probably another year away but if KaT progress well they could be the 4seed the teams beyond SaS just aren't good.

yeah, I'd be disappointed with 39 wins and 10th this season. Thibs + much improved bench + improvement from young players way more than 10 additional wins, barring significant injuries, imo.

Agree, 4-10 are basically about the same, so it will come down to who can stay healthiest. I think my relative expectations have us being the 7 or 8 seed whereas high is around the 5 seed. The 5 seed last year was only 44-38, it's not like that's an unrealistic prediction imo.

The Pekovic/salary floor stuff is helpful. Could the wolves renegotiate with Pek to pay him $4m MORE this year (to reach the floor) and $4m less next year?

I doubt it, but I'm not 100% sure.

I do know that if we dont reach the salary floor, all Wolves players get a share of the difference between their combined salaries and the salary floor. I dont know if the money is split evenly or shares are percentages based on their individual salaries. Either way, the team ends up spending a minimum of the floor.
