Well Colorado is out and headed to the Pac11 in 2010 as far as I understand the news, so I think the real movement is happening this offseason and will be reflected in the Fall 2010 football schedule. Texas/Texas Tech/Baylor/A&M's offers are in the mail to join the Pac16 or whatever so, I don't think Nebraska will have a conference to play in next season if not the Big Ten.

Greear, it's like when you have a job at a company and give your 2 weeks notice. You'll still work there for a little bit before you move on to your new job.

And what will Kansas, Baylor, etc. do? It's in everyone's best interest to stick with the current 2010 schedule.

I'm under the (perhaps mistaken) impression this Colorado's move is effective immediately?

No clue. Last I heard Baylor is Pac10 bound and Kansas is headed for the Big East or some crazy ****.

so Colorado plays a Big 12 schedule even though they are in the pac 10 this season?

It sounds like Colorado will play a Pac 10 schedule this year. LDO there are current conf. commitments but that applies to everyone else and for years in advance. I mean obviously schedules are going to have to be rewritten.

I don't have any actual knowledge, but it seems pretty unlikely to me that 2010 schedules are going to be affected. To completely re-do the schedules of a couple dozen teams (and this is just football - don't forget all the other sports) on 3 months notice seems like a practical impossibility. Sure schedules change but not on this scale and not so close to the start of the season.

This has to go into effect Fall 2011 imo.

they dont join the pac 10 until 2012, so 2 more years of big12 conference while being in the pac10.

Sounds like you guys are right that realignment won't be reflected for another two years in the schedules but that it's still up in the air (Big XII schools could vote to disband immediately if they want to, for instance).

Big XII would be fools to disband immediately, if that's even possible. All of these schools would be throwing away their auto-BCS-bid and bowl tie-ins while they are in limbo. They're going to have to play their current 2010 schedule, regardless, because the schools are contracted to play the scheduled dates, no?

Cool story bro. Taking credit for winning games when they played with leather helmets. I'll admit that Michigan was much better than Ohio State from 1890 to 1930.

That's the first time I've heard this argument. This has definitely changed my view of the situation. Thanks for opening my eyes, TomCollins.

It's just a shame RR won't be around for 14 years to let us even things out .

Bite me Dye

You obviously care about them because you remember them. I've got so much more knowledge about this rivalry than you will every have. Let me know what you need updated on Dye...I will be glad to help you. All I remember is the m*ch*g*n fans banging their chests when tOSU had Cooper. You can't have it both ways bozo. If you are going to hang your hat on 1920 results than deal with the present - typical wolve fan!!!

Next......
