We're just worried that Brandon won't fire Schlissel.

The institutional hubris is off the charts. A couple of Michigan Men just sank like 50 years of goodwill and reputation. They think they will just yell **** about 'Michigan Men' and everyone will smile and nod at the lies in their conferences and 1 am press releases.

It's always been provinicial. Now we are arrogant and dying because the arrogant clowns leading the thing think its fans and followers are stupid enough to just blindly support idiots yelling 'Michigan Men' at you.

I never want to hear that **** again. **** Michigan Men. They cratered the thing. Outsiders like Bill Martin and Rich Rod were better people and representatives of the school. Again, **** Michigan Men.

According to Google, this is the first time that sentence has ever been used on the internet.

Has to be alot of concern Hoke gets fired though and the team is coached by a random bum they find in on the way from the airport in Newark and the team flourishes under this bum, and that's holding back too much sharp money. There's alot of 4 and 5 star talent out there, could happen once you take away the constraints of this well-compensated coaching staff and they get coached up by a random bum.

yep, next coach is going to get a lot of credit for just being average.

If they are average. Just think, without an idiotic Neanderthal culture Rich Rod probably has the program back to perennial top 10 status by now!

Bahahaa ESPN talking heads: "Well take a look at the schedule, there are no gimmes on there" ....schedule includes games against Rutgers, Maryland, Indiana, and Northwestern. Not to mention Penn State.

LOL. Cool program.

don't you have a cornstalk that needs ****ing?

dth...if the coach is average, he's gonna get a lot of praise.

just using star ratings (obv not the end/all), they ARE a top 10 program. they just don't play like it.

sure, still gonna have shane as QB and holes in places, but even an average coach doesn't go 4-8/5-7 or whatever with this roster.

isn't necessarily the gameday decisions...not only is there no growth from the players, we can rattle off probably 10-15 upperclassmen who have gotten WORSE than 2 years ago.

Wiper, you can't get mad and lash out when people laugh at us. You said you wanted the pain, you crave the pain... Know that you need to sit there and take it. Even from a ****ty program like Nebraska... Because they are light years ahead of Michigay.

Aside, but I miss Rich Rod and as time goes on it becomes more and more apparent the fundamental brokenness of the RR-era was pretty close to the story Bacon told in Three and Out; that the 'program' (Brandon, former coaches and players, locals and boosters) created a hostile environment it would be very difficult to succeed in. Just too bad we ****ed that up so badly.

Am frankly much more excited about Arizona's Saturday night game than ours. For one, the quality of football will be significantly better and entertaining, and two, Arizona's coach just seems like a better person than ours.

idk how accurate it is by FS1 just said that hoke is going to be let go any minute. no idea if that is accurate or not but seems like a lot to risk for a new station.

1. I see no news to that effect
2. whoever is reporting it is probably confused by the dozen news trucks covering the 'Fire Dave Brandon' rally on the diag at 6pm
3. Having said all that, a clever counter-programming move by Dave Brandon would be a 5:50pm Brady Hoke ****canning to distract the natives and give them their bodybag

Quote:
“As the leader of our university community, I want to express my extreme disappointment in the events surrounding the handling of an on-field injury to one of our football players, Shane Morris. The health and safety of our entire student community, including all of our student-athletes, is my most important responsibility as university president.

I have been in regular discussion regarding this incident and its aftermath with Athletic Director David Brandon and the Board of Regents. I support the immediate protocol changes that the department’s initial assessment has identified. I have instructed the Athletic Department to provide me, the Board of Regents, and other campus leaders with a thorough review of our in-game player safety procedures, particularly those involving head injuries, and will involve experts from the University of Michigan Health System in assessing its medical aspects.

Despite having one of the finest levels of team medical expertise in the country, our system failed on Saturday. We did not get this right and for this I apologize to Shane, his family, his teammates, and the entire Michigan family. It is a critical lesson to us about how vigilant and disciplined we must always be to ensure student-athlete safety. As president, I will take all necessary steps to make sure that occurs and to enforce the necessary accountability for our success in this regard.

Our communications going forward will be direct, transparent and timely. The University of Michigan stands for the highest level of excellence in everything we do, on and off the field. That standard will guide my review of this situation and all the University’s future actions.

My thanks go to the many members of the University community who have taken the time to express their thoughts.”
