I love Mario for the most part, but this is hilarious.

That's a bizarre story. Also,

"I think the first opportunity they're going to have to really make a statement is that day [Sept. 6 against SDSU], and then we'll listen to Michigan have all their excuses as they come runnin' in and sayin' how they have a new coaching staff and there's changes. To hell with Michigan." - Charlie Weis

Honestly, if things go bad with UM football this year, I honestly have no intentions of making any excuses about the staff changes and what not. I'll do what any rational person would do and blame Ty Willingham.

Weis cracks me up. Coaches at a nice Catholic school and is basically insinuating that they're going to beat a school that has KILLED them twice in a row and that Michigan will make excuses, which of course he has never done.

Michigan's D alone this year should be good enough to beat the **** out of Jimmy Clausen again. The offense...well, we'll see.

The trainers in the Nat weight room told me how hard they are working those guys. GL Football players.

I think you are on to something. I mean really, my Tigers could possibly be repeating for a NC if it weren't for Ryan Perrilloux getting kicked off the team. This is obviously the fault of Ty Willingham.

Wow, that feels good. Not wonder domers do it!

re: Manningham

I've been looking around for a link to the radio interview he did right before the draft on Sirius. I can't find it anywhere. I started thinking...I don't know if I've ever even heard Mario speak. Maybe he was on for a few words postgame after his TD catch a couple years ago against PSU? I don't remember. From everything I'm reading about him now I think maybe the UM staff kept him as far as possible from anyone with a microphone.

Does anybody have a link to any sort of MM interview that has occurred ever? I can't find anything.

So Michigan football thread is reduced to talking about how they're better than a weakened Notre Dame? I hope for Blue's sake that Rich Rod sneaks into another Rose Bowl.

Big 10 is far superior to SEC in academics. Yes. This combined with Heater's last post in OOT makes me chuckle

This is not a road you want to go down because A. it doesn't really matter and B. You're wrong. One wonderlic score doesn't change anything about the overall academic quality of the schools.

Serious lollerskates if you don't realize every school has its great programs and its ****ty ones. Do you really think a business undergrad in the BIG 10 is substantially smarter than one from the SEC? Of course you do, but then again you don't think Rich Rod is a sleaze.

Yes but on average better schools have a much higher number of better progremaeoawefoiajmfawf ah who cares I don't see how you don't understand this. FWIW Michigan at least has a phenomenal business school, so you might want to pick another area for this thread in particular.

And yes, a degree from a school in an area with a reputation for it will set you up much better for the future.

Pretty sure he's not cross-comparing each school's programs. On average a Big11Ten education is much better than one from the SEC. Stop being intentionally obtuse.

Its especially ridiculous because you are focusing your hate on Michigan, which is very good for undergrad and has exceptional graduate programs in law, business, and medicine (among others). All three of those grad schools are in the top 10 nationally; not a single SEC school's law, business, or medical school can sniff that. The closest thing is probably Vandy's law school, which is still comparable to Northwestern.

As a Buckeye, I hope you guys kick the snot out of him and they finish 0-11 this year. I mean I hate Michigan and all, but seeing this clown fail is way more satisfying.

I personally <3 Weis. His "no excuses" excuses, his schematic advantage, his ability to win with thugs if he wanted to but that's not how he plays so he'll settle for 3 top-ten classes and can't win with those, etc. I'd be sad to see him go. Plus they pretty much have to hire someone competent and they have a lot of talent sitting around.
