so Oklahoma's DL that just put the vaunted Bama OL in the blender is coached by none other than former Michigan DL coach Jerry Montgomery. We gave the wrong assistant (Fat Al) a raise after 2011.

Goddamn we're so far away from being Oklahoma right now

This is probably pointless but Damien Harris's twitter background isn't UM anymore and took the commit part out of his Bio.

I don't see us doing THAT bad next year, but 5 losses is certainly a real possibility. Given that we have 3 auto-losses next year (@ND with Golson back, @MSU, and @OSU), it isn't hard to imagine us somehow dropping 2 more games somewhere.

In fact 8-5 next year is my early prediction. And that will NOT get Hoke fired imo. "Sitting bare assed on a sheet of ****ing ice" seems about right to me.

Where do the other 2 losses come from? You think we're going to lose to App State? @Northwestern? Utah? Minny? Outside of ND, MSU, and OSU this schedule is Charmin paper soft.

Well, the idea is we're not that good, and thus capable of getting upset by Utah, Minny, Penn St, then throw in the fact that we'll probably be an underdog in whatever bowl we play in, and you can tease out 2 losses there.

But without Golson on ND, I would upgrade my prediction to 9-4

Golson will be back but calling ND an auto loss is inaccurate. ND just isn't that good.

If Golson is back, @ND is an auto-loss in my mind. We going 8-5.

To elaborate: ND loses their best WR (TJ Jones), their two best OL, but then again so do we, so we can call that a push.

Their defense is getting absolutely obliterated by graduation and the draft. Tuitt and Nix are gone off the DL along with Nix's main backup. 3 of their 4 starting LBs and 2 starters in the secondary are gone. All this in addition to Diaco leaving for UConn. Van Gorder is going to need to be a miracle worker to make the defense as good as it was this year, which, if you'll remember, we dropped 41 points on.

They went 9-4 and should have lost to MSU as well. They're just not that good.

Ok seriously, you're right. The above looks promising. @ND definitely not an auto-loss. After reading all that, game looks like a coin flip.

I'll just add that senior Devin Gardner vs. Golson coming off a one-year vacation (he couldn't practice at all this past year) is a win all day for us.

Couple days off whew. I was boozing and super emotional but yeah I guess I am an immature fan and will always be one. I wanted to see Sparty boat raced off that field. That would have made me feel good. Same feeling I had when Clemson beat OSU. Every other bowl game I was rooting for B1G. I'll never root for either of those two schools. The place Sparty has us in terms of program relevance is something I've never experienced and its scary. Saying we are Michigan is over. Dantonio/Narduzzi coaches their talent up the best in the big.

Kinda worried tbh

Watchin a rerun of UM-PSU. The Lions walked on water and then jogged 3 times around the top of the lake. That was crazier than our 2011 game.

We're not dogs in those games, but they're not gimmies either. I think we can throw IU into the dangerous pile of hot garbage that in a perfect world gets stomped out but once in a while will burn your house down, because we didn't exactly crush IU this year and they can certainly roll over someone on a bad day.

Also the gimmies we thought we had this past season (Akron, UCONN) were incredibly close calls. Also we rushed for -653 yards this year and the OL will not be better.

Frankly, I see very few auto-wins and a whole lot of BIGGGGGG TEEENNNNNNNN bumble**** where we could win or lose any week. I guess that's comforting in some respects. The B1G is such a tire fire it IS hard to see how we could lose 5 games. Then again, remember the 2013 season?
Michigan Football: HARBAUGH Quote
01-08-2014 , 05:46 PM
If you approach it with the mentality that the B1G is full of all these ****bum mediocre teams, AND you assume Michigan ISN'T one of them, you see 9 wins minimum.

I tend to be optimistic and agree that schedule is Charmin soft but pessimistic in the sense that Michigan is part of that ****bum mediocrity that defines the B1G right now and we're going to play like 6 coinflips next year against a bunch of other mediocre B1G teams and will need some luck to get 10 wins.
