Man the Cardinals thread is dead. Where are the best fans in baseball?

Also I hate to admit it, but I really like Imo's pizza. St. Louis BBQ however is a boil on the devil's taint.

Saw a list the other day of best BBQs in the country, and there were 2 St Louis joints on there and only one KC, obviously Joes, and I just laughed. Obviously the writer of that article was a complete idiot and probably from St Louis.

That's crazy.

I think Yost's strengths as a manager are player development and game preparation. He's terrible with his in-game stuff, but being in the AL, that's not to big of an issue.

Redditor summed it up perfectly:

"Rankings like these are useless. They are based off of ratings of mostly locals. The problem with that is a city like St. Louis (which has two on the list, by the way) is not completely entrenched in BBQ like KC is, so they think the BBQ they have is 5/5, and rate it as such.
People in KC and other BBQ cities are more picky about their BBQ.
It's the same reason that some run of the mill diner gets great ratings in a rural area where there are no other places to eat, but they don't necessarily compare to those that actually have competition, despite a lesser rating."

finnegan gonna work as a reliever in triple A and join the big league club later in the season if things go well

i don't really support this move at all i think they need to be doing all they can to develop him into a starter. he might help a little bit this season which you could argue even a very little increase in title equity is worth it for a team with a window but like a starter is just so much more valuable than a reliever down the line especially for a team like us with a completely loaded bullpen. i don't think this is very forward thinking. they say they will are postponing his development as a starter until 2016. i'm not sure things work out like that very often but we will see.

if we knew for sure he would immediately step in and be our best lefty reliever by a good margin than i would probably think it is fine and maybe that will be shown to be true. but right now his major league sample size is pretty tiny and still way too early to know how good he actually is as a reliever. not really killing any level this year.

I just found it online - the single greatest catch I've ever seen by a Royal

The amazing thing was when he made the catch it was 4-0 Yankees, bottom of the 8th, bases loaded, 2 outs - and we came back and scored 5 in the 9th to win. Unfortunately that only brought our record to 2-9 on the 1993 season. http://www.nytimes.com/1993/04/16/sp...oing-gone.html
