Going to the game on Sunday, will be sitting 2nd row behind the NY JETS bench....I really hope they win just cause im going, but at the same time I know the season is over and should just hope they lose out to lock up a top draft pick.

Thinking about making a good sign and trying to get on TV...any ideas?

edit: if anything this should make you question the validity of these #'s rather than insisting that rhodes has actually been playing well. that or question whether ryan knows wtf he is doing

Close to no chance Ryan doesn't know what he's doing. Probably zero in fact. Clearly Rhodes is doing something wrong.

no of course i dont trust those numbers that much, and i never have. ive had that pff site for almost a year and theres a good reason why i never posted it in the auction thread; i didnt want people saying "oh player x is rated well in pass coverage so he must be good!"

but these idiots are already completely indoctrinated by the ny media who are having a field day with this benching, and some of these guys are actually talking about trading him. i mean seriously wtf, ya hes played poorly the last few weeks but hes still been good this season and hes a big part of the success this defense has had even if hes not putting up gaudy stats. hes 27. i had to show them something that showed hes not just good but well above average.

my opinion of rhodes has definitely dropped somewhat since last season, and from what i hear he does not have the greatest work ethic off the field. but the season is pretty much over at this point, ryans not losing much by benching rhodes, and i dont expect the benching to last long at all.

Rhodes should (and IMO, will) be benched for just this week. He has to realize he isn't above the team, he can talk to the media and all that, but has to stay focused. IMO, from watching and all that, he lost some of his focus. He loved the glory he got from being mentioned with Reed/Polamalu, and thought he was too good. His ego got to him.

Not once did I said trade him, but I do think a benching for a week or two is the best play. The Jets don't need the best safety in the game, but they do need the old Kerry Rhodes who made plays and was a team leader.

The only reason why a trade was brought up was because he has a $2m roster bonus due in March and this prob pissed off Rhodes to the point where he might not want to be here anymore

panthers comin up, similar built offense except their qb is 35 instead of a rookie. they should be able to run on us but with any luck john fox might fall in love with the pass. on the other side we should be able to run it well but id rather not see sanchez throw against their corners too much
