Oh, and Packers gonna skull**** the Bears next week. Cutlahhhhh going to die for real this time. No ******** close game like week 17.

I guess I'm rooting for Seahawks tomorrow, but I really want to see GB/CHI round 3.

Rodgers right now is better than Favre ever was. James Jones redeemed himself too. I was still pissed off at him until he beasted it up tonight. Speaking of JJ, why the **** did they blow that play dead around the 2min warning where it was a copy of the Eagle game bomb sans drop? Seems like a pretty standard offside-free-play situation, and Jones had a couple steps on the defender even before he stopped on the play.
I thought it was too. did not see anything to make that play worth blowing dead. However, without the whistle, who knows if Jones would have been open or not as I think that made the defender let up on him.

My theory on James Jones -- don't throw him easy passes. Make him reach for it so that he has to concentrate, thus ensuring the catch.

Dear NFL teams firing HCs, Dom Capers is a bad Head Coach. Please do not consider him in your search for a replacement. Thanks!

Yeah Tramon really could easily be the story of that game had Rodgers not put up such ridiculous numbers, but yeah that pick-6 was such a killer, especially if GB was to put together another 7-minute TD drive.

I don't know if I necessarily agree with your comment about Favre right now, but it's a good thought. Maybe I romanticize the Super Bowl team too much because I was a kid then and it meant so much to me. Favre in his 3-time MVP days was ridiculous, even if Rodgers has better stats right now. Of course Favre did get the '96 Packers which were ridiculous in so many ways, while the '10 Packers story has mostly been about injury. On the broadcast they mentioned that no team who has lost this many "player-games" to injury has ever done even remotely well.

I mean I find it so funny now that Packer fans 3 years ago were calling for the firing of Ted Thompson and McCarthy for not giving Favre his final shot in GB. God just imagine if he did that and Rodgers bolted for another city (IIRC '08 was the last year of his first contract).

Notice the giant FAIL in the background? You don't see it? Guess the epic fail on the bench is obscuring your view.

Hmmm yeah I guess comparing regular reason numbers of Favre 96-98 and Rodgers 08-10 shows Rodgers better in most stats, though Favre has thrown more TDs. Still not completely convinced but you can make an argument for either. Cool stat - the 09 and 10 Packers have two of the top three all-time total points in road playoff games (the other is a ridiculous 73-point performance by the Bears in 1940)

Rodgers can make all the ridiculous throws Brett could, is more mobile, and makes less astoundingly-******ed decisions. The last bit is, of course, part of Favre's good-legacy too, as some of those ******ed decisions led to unreal amazing plays. The novelty wore off when the OMGHOLYSHIT/FAILINT ratio got worse and worse though

Which one?

I agree that it's pretty ******** that you guys got the best remaining NFC team as a reward for being the #1 seed. That said, it's a near certainty that GB's going to choke against one of the remaining failtard teams after beating the two best NFC teams. 11-9 Super Bowl Champion Seahawks gogogo.

The dude jumping offsides caused a false start. They always blow those plats dead.

He already said being a HC again is not on his agenda. He likes the X's and O's aspect of it, and the fact that he gets to be more on a personal level with the players.

has something to do with the fact that the offensive line jumped as well i think.

Who you guys rooting for today? I'm a little torn, I think McCarthy, having played the Bears twice already, would have a much much better game plan than Lovie "Full ******" Smith, but the 'Hawks are pretty clearly the worse team of the two. I think I'm rooting for the Hawks because they're worse than the Bears and as a backup it would be hilarious to see a 7-9 team get to the super bowl. Whereas if the Bears beat the Packers I will just be very very angry.

Rooting for Seattle because they are clearly the worse team. We'd be the favorite over them even in Seattle and I think we'd crush them. On the other hand, it would be epic to beat the Bears in Soldier Field for the NFC Championship. I think the Bears win today fairly easily though. Seahawks are on the road this week and against a much better defense.

it's hard to root against a packers/bears nfc championship for historical value alone

honestly I'm not sure it really matters which team they have to play. yes bears are the better team but if the seahawks somehow torch them too i'm not sure which would be scarier. at least the bears are who we thought they were. i mean this gb team looks so much better right now than they did even 2 weeks ago.

The only time Green Bay and Chicago have played in the playoffs was on December 14, 1941.

Wow the only team I was really worried about just got eliminated...

Can't wait for the historic game next week. Like, at the beginning of the season, everyone was wondering about whether or not Favre could stick it to the Packers again, if the Vikings-Packers rivalry was more important now than the Bears one, and now GB and Chicago are playing in NFC Championship. Never saw this coming...

6 seed vs 6 seed in the Super Bowl would be awesome.

Next Sunday cannot get here soon enough.

This is the first time in a long time that I believe the Packers won't shoot themselves in the foot and blow a chance at the Superbowl. They seem to make big plays when they need to and don't get down when they make mistakes. They are likely setting me up and will find a way to lose, but damn, they look good.

So stoked for this game. Bears need to die. Least deserving playoff team (besides 'hawks obv). Only thing I'm worried about is Hester. If Masthay does a good job of keeping it away from him, we should be golden.

Also, I'm happy that Tramon is finally getting some love. He's been an elite corner all year, and now he's continuing his superb play on a national stage. I can't wait for the whole country to know his name when he GOATs it up in the Super Bowl.

This! I'm feeling pretty confident after our last several games, but have been heartbroken so many times before.

Special teams has been OK lately. Not great or anything, but we haven't shot ourselves in the foot as much. Hester is always scary though. And SOOOO much love for Tramon. I've been singing his praises for months, but hardly anyone would listen. After picking Cutlah ftw, Vick ftw, and 2xRyan (with the second essentially ftw) he's finally getting some love. Now we'll see if he can break DeAngelo Hall's record.

Looking forward to next week... Pack favored by 3 in Soldier Field, lolz.
