This. I got into an argument with my dad during the game, because he thought that letting the clock run off was the right move, so something like what happened to Dallas doesn't happen. He also doesn't think Childress is an idiot, though, enough said ("He is/was a NFL head coach, he can't be an idiot!" *faceplam*)
McCarthy's play calling today was downright terrible, though.
McCarthy:Oh, look, we've passed on every play this drive and we're now on the 2 yard line.
Rodgers: ldo, they can't stop the pass. Quick slant to Jennings for the TD, amirite?
McCarthy: Butnahhhhhhhhhh, you're going to run right up the middle. I don't care if you're 7/9 for 70+ yards on this drive. We gotta establish the run!
Rodgers: So, you're saying that you want to do something other than what has been working the whole game, while putting your franchise QB, unnecessarily, in harms way?
McCarthy: Yep
Rodgers: ....
Oh, by the way McCarthy. They give you two challenge flags for a reason. ****ing use them.
Sam Shields, learn how to take a knee on a ****ing kickoff.
Slocum, teach your players how to defend a ****ing kickoff.
