The Packers have ZERO players that can get ANY pressure on the QB on a 3 or 4 man rush, beside Matthews.

The NFL refs either have a hard on for Favre or HATE Rodgers. How many facemasks/head shots does Rodgers have to take to get one called? Rodgers takes a helmet to helmet hit on the INT, no call.

MM is a total IDIOT. He needs to hand off play calling to someone else, because he does not know what the hell is he doing. Brandon Jackson, taking out the 70+ yard run, still averaged over 5.0 yards per carry. WHY DO YOU TRY TO FIT A SQUARE PEG IN A ROUND HOLE!?!

The entire process of the 4th and goal stand at the 1:

1) Why the hell are you trying a toss from the 1?
2) Why did you not challenge either 2nd or 3rd attempts? Jumbotron definitely showed that he could/was in. I don't care with the bull**** reasoning of "Oh, we'll get in from the one, anyway." No. You challenge that **** because stuff like that does happen.
3)Why do you go for it on 4th down and not take the 3? Making it a 2 possession game on the road? Take the points and run, don't be greedy.
4) Why did Kuhn, the guy you've got to run it up the middle for the yard or two, never see the ball on that possession?
5) Why did McCarthy feel the need to put Rodgers in danger with a QB sneak not once, but twice?

Woodson looked good most of the day, and I thought that PI call was pretty BS, with what the refs let people get away with all game.

Bulaga looked pretty good, saying he only got a few days of practice at RT. Clifton, on the other hand, is TERRIBLE. Need to put Bulaga in there ASAP and get Lang at RT.
I was @ the Det. game and I have to say, this sir is excellent post. I would say I noticed all this 1 week earlier, except I have to disagree with the bold. That is PI all day long, and if it doesn't get called, it is a terrible non call.

#1 thing I noticed against the Lions, Martin sucked.

1. what the hell is up w/ play calling? 3 or 4 3rd and 2s or 1s and kuhn could lay down and get 3 yards and we line up in shotgun where we cant run out of. except draws get blown up on 3rd and short

no. Unless he improved, but the Lang of last year was atrocious. I never want to see that guy take the field ever again unless he is MUCH improved.

I also thought it was Peprah that got burned all day, he's the one that gave up that easy bomb for a score. Martin>Peprah

Congrats Bishop, I have said for years you could play. Finally this guy can get some playing time and prove he should be in there. Bishop.

OTOH, Poppinga is awful. Always has been, always will be. He misses every other tackle, sucks in coverage. Just an all around terrible player. Can't believe hes had a job here this long. Him and Peprah need to go. They will not be missed.

And to the other poster about Woodson penalties, no he is not getting old, that is just classic Woodson. He had a ton of illegal contact penalties last year too, because he's so aggressive. We are gonna see a LOT more of those when Al Harris comes back, he gets called way often on those.

The amount of plays they make, that is their style. I think I am agreeing with you here when I say, I will take those penalties. For how much good they do out there with their aggressiveness, I will take when they get banged for illegal contact or holding.

Yeah, Pepprah got burned, on that ONE play. Martin would have gotten burned on multiple plays for TDs if McNabb could have put the ball anywhere near his WR. He was also burned multiple times where McNabb just didn't have the time to get the ball out.

I'd take Pepprah over Martin any day.

wow, this sucks. the only consolation is that there really aren't any dominating NFC teams right now and every division looks pretty open...still, puke

Packers would be lucky to make the playoffs, at this point.

I've lost track of the number of injuries this team has.

hey look at it this way. we get a good look at the slightly overweight quarless, hes supposed to be finely jr.

im more worried about in three weeks when clifton goes down w/ knee injuries and both our tackles are out, bulaga can only take 1 spot.

thoughts on merriman going to be released? he could be opposite matthews?!

also a bit excited about james starks now that were not making a move for RB.

It is officially over. At least they will be in the top half of the draft this year.

Sky is falling omg might as well not play the last 11 games.

Look @ the rest of the division. It took the Bears 18 penalties, home field, a key turnover, and blocked field goal to win.

Finley loss is almost as big as losing Grant, but still a lot can happen. Rodgers might be okay to play on Sunday, and if that's the case, I still like the team's chances playing at home. Schedule is brutal, but it's not like last year's Colts or Saints team is in the division. No one is going to run away with it.

9 wins probably makes hte playoffs, 10 for sure, so we need to pick of 6 more games: I say, Chi, Det, Mia, SF, 1x v MIN (week 7) ( i hope favre is out) thats 5 then we need to pick up 1 or 2 more

then again burnett and martin are dunbar, leaving 3rd string saftey to cover deep, i say we just put in sam shields there and have him blitz ever play, or is he injured atm too?

but in actuality im all for going for as high in the draft as we can to trade down for value

As long as the D has Clay Matthews and Charles Woodson playing, I feel OK about GB's D. Either one of them out, however, it's GG GB.

As for the offense, well, the Packers are still their own enemy (I'm looking at YOU McCarthy). It was good before Finley and should still be good, now.

Uhhh I'd still say they're one of the best NFC teams. Let me put it this way; if Lions got the W they deserved vs. the Bears, people would be honestly contemplating if the Lions could win this division.

Rodgers practicing is outstanding news. Looks like he won't miss any game time.

i heard shoulder?

Sucks that Matthews is out. I guess if I had to pick Clay or Aaron, I'd rather have Aaron play.

I dunno, with how bad the pass rush has been without Matthews, I'd almost want Matthews over Rodgers. I feel the Packers could win a game or two with Flynn, but it's going to be very difficult to win without Clay.

**** you, too, NFL

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-nflfines

How about calling it on the field, for once, instead of just fining afterward?

was bout to post that.

can we forfiet and note that were startin college freshmen because of injuries?

poppinga out for game

defense so depleted TJ Lang is a goaline linemen

Draws on 1st and 10 are textbook McCarthy playcalling i disagree w/ we have no rungame, no interior linemen and no running back who can dodge and keep going

PS **** you refs, no call on rodgers, but dont us the ball when miami got the first

now drivers injured (returned?!)

on the plus side raji's having a good game

NO MCCARTHy please dont run the ball on 1st....ok dont run the ball on 2nd w/ 8min left in the 4th....oops, third?---i seriously hate mccarthys 4th quarter play calling---lets never give help to a struggling rookie right tackle by keeping a TE in, lets not adjust to solve/help w/ that problem by having a RB help chip, lets not line up under center in a 1back set to make the end go thru more ppl/distance

sigh---presnap penalties mental mistakes ****ing us up, we cant get out of our own way

serious question now----when can an OT start moving up field on a pass play? on the td in the 4th their tackle was 5 yards up field by the time he caught the ball

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD---does he sitll think 5 wide sets are the answer w/ bulaga struggling?

mccarthy your time management blows---you ahve 2.28 left in the 4th on a 4th down, you should have plays like this scheduled out mapped out. for the love of god get hte play off and let hte D use the 2min warning as a TO

do we serioulsy have to go over this again? running the ball twice on on 2nd and 3rd on the 2 and 1? really? really? really? serioulsy rodgers is the best running back we have, let him roll out and throw

really? squib it right into the 2nd line on the kick off? i know they dont have a TO, but meh its 1 play to get into fg range w/o a pass rush

woodson down+ smart penalty
